As an affiliate, what features entice you the most?

Hey Warriors!

I'd appreciate some insight into the mind's of Veteran, Platinum affiliates. Of course great numbers are attractive, but what other features of a product/service would excite you? How do you expect to be treated by an Affiliate Manager? Besides being whitelisted, what has an affiliate manager done to give you incredible attention/resources?

Thanks for any feedback!

High converting offers / payouts and be paid weekly.

Large name brand offers. Everyone has generic offers.

I get solicited by networks a lot and so many are net 30 and they wasting their time even asking me to consider such.

I'm a mailer, so ideally the AM should be able to tell you how offers are converting across different domains, TLDs, cables, GI.

Be able to get custom creatives approved quickly.

Main thing for me is contact! Have some type of contact information that you actually reply too. I've had so many JV pages have skype or FB information... and when I add them... they never respond. Huge pet peeve of mine!

Full support not just in email or Skype support.

    But affiliate tools and resources.

As in email swipes, free PDF and MS Word report that any affiliate can edit and brand as their own as well as articles, product reviews and banners and e-covers.

More Niche is one great example. It is an online affiliate network in healthcare products. Though not as famous as Market Health, they have everything an affiliate needs to succeed online.

  • I greatly appreciate data feeds - ideally in JSON, but CSV or XML are also very much appreciated. There's nothing more frustrating than writing a blog post review of a product, putting down the price and then either having to regularly, manually check to find out if the price has changed, or worse, receiving an email / contact form submission from a visitor that the price I'm listing is incorrect.

The best affiliate manager I ever worked with was the only one who proactively telephoned me. I've had to ring up and ask for my aff mgr a few times in the past, but only one has ever reached out to me "in person" before.

An aff. Mgr who really takes the time each week to email affiliates with the latest products that are trending in the marketplace...high epc, total sales etc...

And keep updating on a consistent basis.

    1) Long term commitment to give time to get things in place to actually start earning money with it.
There was a couple of times early on in my attempts to earn money online where I had accounts at `Comission Junction` (CJ.com) and I discovered they had a habit of discontinuing accounts for lack of activity and kind of forgetting to mention it to the owner of the websites until a few months later when you tried to log-in and found they'd still been serving ads to your website you wouldn't get paid for due to no longer having an account.

    2) Products people actually want to buy.

Yes. I'm another as stated by some of the other marketers in this thread that it would help that they provide some contact information. Whereas all they sometime have is just an e-mail address as the contact information. How about telling us a little more about yourself? For instance, how about an "About Me" or "About Us" page? Or have a support forum and so forth?

If I love the product, vibe with it and believe in it I am drawn to it.

If it really excites me, and if it is something I'd buy and use happily without even giving a thought to selling it - not trying to GET with it, but just use it - then it rocks to me.

Well I'm an affiliate manager for a top weight loss product I'm sure most people have heard about....The Fat Diminisher System by Wesley Virgin. I'm just reaching out to improve and fine tune my management skills. I go out of my way to make sure our affiliates are well informed and making great money, but there's always room for improvement right!?

  • Well best of success to you. That's definitely not one of my preferred niches, though it seems plenty would want to promote that field. One tip I would mention is this:

    >lifetime revshare for all customer puchases
