How I Make Money As An Affiliate With Article Marketing

All new affiliate marketers start with nothing except a strong desire for success. There is nothing more powerful than hunger, and only someone hungry with success will go out of their way to learn everything they possibly can about their own Internet business.

Everyone starts out with big dreams - dreaming about the possibility of earning great amounts of passive income and enjoying the great lifestyle of an successful Internet Marketer. I know it sounds cruel, but as soon as they begin their journey, most of them would have given up three months down the road, leaving them with nothing but shattered dreams.

For those who survived the first three months, only a few will survive for the next six months. But those who have done something about their Internet business don't really leave with nothing. They have learned new lessons, and would have figured out something important by then: It's not so easy to achieve success on the Internet.

But having said that, is it still impossible to achieve success on the Internet? Why are we still seeing so many people claiming incredible earnings with their Internet businesses? Aha! Those are the ones who didn't give up. They learned their lessons, overcome the challenges, and figured out what works and what doesn't. And for sure, they are the ones who really deserve to be successful.

There are many roads to success on the Internet. Some like to buy clicks from the search engines, while others like to buy co-registration leads. Whatever route they choose, it's probably something that they are most familiar with, and it's certainly working out for them. While there are many such methods, one of the most neglected method is article marketing..and i have been using this method for many years until to this day.

This method is not so popular with Internet Marketers because it's a bit slower, and it certainly involves more work and dedication than most of the traffic generation methods. Nobody likes work. It's not sexy with Internet marketers. Everyone likes easy money, the lazy man's way. So they keep ignoring article marketing.

But the experts love it when others are ignoring article marketing. Why? Because there is less competition for them, competing for the same keywords, in the same market. So they kept at it for years, and continue to make an absolute killing off the article marketing.

Believe it or not, article marketing works so well that some Internet marketers rely solely on article marketing traffic for they're Internet business. How is that possible? Think about it. Article marketing involves getting as many links out there on the Internet as possible to established, authoritative sites. So it's certainly a long term traffic generation strategy. The writing is done once, the submission is done once, but the traffic generated keeps coming month after month. Who doesn't like that kind of traffic?

In order to make money by publishing articles online, people have to actually read your articles. Simply writing good or even excellent content is not enough. Marketing your article can be a difficult task. This article contains some steps that you can take, in order to increase the amount of interest in your articles.

Use a pull to drag people in. Readers want to have their curiosity satisfied. If you ask a question or make them wonder in the title of your website, readers will be attracted to finding out what the answer is. Use this to your advantage by dragging readers into your site, and hopefully they will stick around for your interesting content.

To help bring more traffic to your blog, make good use of your tag cloud. Be sure to tag each post with relevant and popular keywords so that visitors can easily find what they are looking for. The easier your blog is to navigate, the more traffic you are going to get.

Create a step-by-step guide that you can follow when you're attempting to market your site or products. Businesses that perform well are businesses that were conceived from the ground up, meaning that the people behind the business started out with a comprehensive plan and then followed a path to success.

One of the biggest problems marketers encounter with their article campaigns is that they do not complete enough articles to make an impact. Your articles do not have to be long, but they do need to be of a very high quality. And the more you write and the more locations you send them out to, the better your odds of success become.

Create informative, relevant articles. These articles should be relevant to your business and show you as a valid expert in the niche, thereby creating trust with visitors. Articles add to your website by providing it with unique and original content. When you have creative and unique articles on your website, your chances improve on ranking higher on search engine results.

Even if you're outsourcing the writing of your site, make sure that you always come across as personal and as original as possible. A good way to go about this, is to write your own page and then send it to a professional for the final touches.

As mentioned above, actually getting people to read your article is the key to making any money online with article marketing. By following the advice here, however, you are well on your way to having your own articles that will generate significant website traffic and therefore, earn you more money.

Cheers

Dawood

    Just bookmarked this.

I have and love my niche, I've willing to write dedicated, thoughtful, informed and even funny articles for the products I'll review, I'm ready to buy hosting/domain and I even have an idea for the template I will use... but there are so many offers that I don't know where to start. Should I just go for the hosting/domain Wordpress itself offers, or is it too expensive? I'd like privacy protection in the package, is this convenient?

We've both been here since 2010 and that's what I've seen the majority of folks claim to do (article marketing) so I'm not sure what you've been reading around here.

Article Marketing works just like any other internet marketing strategy but it requires work and patience which most internet marketers today are not willing to offer.

How long did it take you to actually get traffic from article marketing? My site is about 3 months+ and I'm seeing a little more Google traffic but definitely not close to sufficient.

Writing targeted articles helps a bunch. Churning out volume helps too. I just prefer a self-hosted Wordpress blog. Better for branding. But you can rock it out through any channel online.

    Well done

  • Hi Dawood:

While article marketing works for some there should be the other side of the coin exposed as well.

Over the years I have been friendly with several professional writers (books, courses, ghostwriting, etc) and several have not made anywhere near the return on the time even though they clearly have expertise and experience.

A niche can be a help or a hindrance. A professional writer with 5 best selling books would see less traffic coming to their site or offer if it is based on rock formations in the Great Lakes. An average writer would see better return if they were pushing hot buttons such as thoughts on the current president or Health Care proposals.

It sounds like you are only embracing part of what article marketing (and by extension to other media, content marketing). You only talk about your blog/site and search rankings.

I find that not only is there less competition for keywords, there's less competition in publishers' inboxes when seeking publication. And, based on my own inbox, most of that competition is pretty weak.

Okay, maybe you could just "send them out" 10 years ago, but nowadays you have to network and build relationships with other publishers. Many marketers have no problem cranking out volume of articles, it's the "very high quality" part that trips them up.

If you are seeking syndication (publishing your content on other publishers' sites), the article has to be high quality in their eyes. In addition to the baseline, cost of entry things like proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, the content has to meet two additional criteria. Will it make the other publisher look good to his audience by leading his audience to your site via the author credit? ( a quality article linked to a garbage site does not enhance the publisher's image with his audience) Will it provide value to his audience by being relevant and useful?

Here's another big stumbling block for most marketers. They are in it for the money, as you said, so any real expertise is a problem. And if they are speaking to an audience that does have some expertise, getting tripped up is a virtual certainty.

Your overall idea is good. Positioning yourself and drawing people to your pages by providing good content and spreading the word is indeed a powerful strategy. I just wanted to point out that since the big "Bum Marketing" crackdowns, article marketing (and content marketing in general) is not as easy as it was.

Article marketing is the method of submitting keyword-focused articles to article directories.

It helps to promote your business and establish you as an expert in your chosen niche.

It also increases the link popularity of your website (by providing valuable one-way links from many sites back to your site), enhances search engine positioning for your chosen keywords and phrases, and it helps you reach more potential customers for your products or services.

    Thanks so much,

while I do not agree with 50% of this, I do think OP did a good post.

    Some tips.

    1) Article marketing does not work as well as it use to.

    2) Article syndication is how we are doing it. The smart way.

    3) Articles are great, if you write good quality and submit them to the proper article directories. Remember article directories use to get massive traffic, today there is 400% drop in those exchanges , esepcailly with ezinearticles, and goarticles which is sort of almost dead.

It does work, if you know which keywords to hit, but all in all, remember this is just another technique to get traffic, build a list and then eventually make sales.

What you must relise is that 6 figure marketers, do not use article....they are using a combination of PAID and fast traffic. But article is the good kind of traffic, and slower. But still good.

Pros and cons with all the sorts of traffic, but hope this helps.

Articles are not dead at all. No way. But they are not as good as they use to be.

The new style is FACEBOOK, Youtube, and social media.

  • It is no secret that content is king. However, most people are too lazy to write a good, unique, and quality content. It makes such a huge difference to really focus on quality and to find time researching more about your target market. The more you know who your market is, the easier and more effective it is to write quality content for them.

Traditional Article Marketing is more than just getting as many links as you can on the Internet. It's about building relationships and building s true syndicate of Publishers who come to you for quality articles to put on their Sites.

Maybe you indirectly inferred this but it must be stressed that going and out and building that Syndicate is HUGE key to make Article Marketing work !!
