Why are people skipping the learning part?

More vent of frustration when I look around and see this. I hope people have some of these thoughts too.

People join and pay to get into a business. These people have no idea about marketing online. I mean zero. I don't get it.

How I learnt and what people should do in my honest opinion is figure out how it all works then pick something to market based on what you like and are actually good at.

Just seems so backwards paying a lot of money to be involved then you can't move it then you have to go backwards

It isn't logical but then emotion is already 20 times more powerful than logic, so how someone FEELS is everything. Now often when someone purchases a training/course (whatever) they FEEL like the hard work has been done (as illogical as this sounds it often applies). They've bought it and they breathe a sigh of relief as the dust settles over the product on their hard drive.

I guarantee 80% of the people reading this post will have done this at some point (possibly more).

I think the main problem is...not everyone who wants to get an online business started, actually has the savvy/persistence/balls/drive....or whatever else it takes to run a business.

They are constantly tempted by claims of easy money, no investment, millions to be made etc etc they read.

This is a business and not everyone is capable of running a business.

It's the same reason you'll see a new independent shop open on the high street and then see it close down 3 months later. It looks easy enough.....then the reality kicks in.

It's sad in a way. Probably 90% of people who chase 'online riches' would be better just getting a half decent job and practice trying to set up an online business.

First viewpoint: WHY does this bother YOU? You sound like my brother who told me he doesn't GET Stephen Colbert, but watches him every night. ???

    Why frustration?

Knowing this to be true, one can relieve their frustration about what other people do. I mind my own business, which acknowledges that customers have the right NOT to do anything with my products too.

If people want a vicarious thrill, or feel ownership is the doing, or have a library or hard drive full of products they have never used, what is that to me?

I don't GET your frustration with other people, how does it AFFECT you?

I agree with the idea that the barrier to entry is really low so people don't think through starting out online as thoroughly as they would offline.

But look at the promises, the claims, the hype and even the out right BS that people are feed by IM sales material.

Everything is some version of get rich doing £#@% all work.

Is it any wonder that they don't think they need knowledge, skills, ability, commitment, work ethic, patience etc, etc etc

Luckily though it's never the product creators fault.

It's not that they sold false dreams it's that the people weren't committed enough or didn't believe in themselves. Or my personal favourite they didn't invest in themselves (translated they didn't but enough of my #£%%).

Thankfully it's not something that really troubles me.

If it was a reoccurring issue then I would look at my sales literature to repel these people or improve my product to cater for people with no experience.
