New Internet Marketer

Hey everyone,

I discovered the internet marketing community a little while ago and am ready to take things to the next level. Really eager to learn more and wanted some recommendations for products, articles, posts, really anything that would offer a good starting point.

Should note that I have limited knowledge of internet marketing and have studied some of Frank Kern's material.

My goal is to make 5000+ income per month in the next 3 months. I would like to quit my job so that I can have more time to devote to internet marketing. I'm finishing up my undergraduate studies and would love to make money with marketing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hype

Hmm. Making $5,000.00 a month can be a challenge, but with time and persistence it can be achieved. I would advise you to start up a blog or website if you haven't already. In this site you would need to have good quality content, plenty of backlinks and develop traffic over time. The way that you would generate a good income is by selling affiliate products or even selling your own if you have any! You can also use Google Adsense or Adbrite, but this is nickeling and diming income without good traffic. The affiliate products will be your best route between those. It takes time to make money in the internet marketing world, but it can be achieved ma friend. You can also try to resell websites for webdesign202.com, I'm doing it right now and besides the money I'm making from my blogs, it is my leading income! Good luck with your IM journey!!

I am new to this space as well. Based on my research and learnings, it is important to pick a niche market space you want to focus on. Internet Marketing is so BIG and if you want to make $5K monthly net in 3 months...laser focus is needed. My goal is also to generate $160 per day and am learning the ropes. Try and network with other folks at your local business clubs or meet ups too - that helps.

Good luck and keep at it and share your success!

    Hi Hype,

the best tip that I can give you is to go through the 30 Day Challenge by Ed Dale.

This will take you to a whole new level. Do not go ahead and buy a couple of different reports now and do not get lost in all the different threads and posts here in this huge forum.

Focus on one thing only. The 30 day challenge has amazing videos and superb content. This is truly all you need in order to get up and running fast.

Stay focused and don't get distracted by all these shiny products and promises in the sales letters.

    Cheers,

    Mario

Hello hype, welcome to the forum!

Your goal can be achieved but as yellowboy says you'll need to stay focused.

One method that I suggest to my students is first try to make $10 online (very easy), then $50, next $100 and so on. Once you break it down into smaller amounts it becomes super easy.

    Best of luck

You may start blogging - it's quite easy - about your passion or something you're interested in. There are tons of information on this already. Like the guys said, stay focused and be persistent. All the best!

    Welcome to the club.

The 30 day challenge should be of great help.

Becoming a master of traffic generation won't hurt your cause either.

Hi Welcome to the Forum !

I would suggest browsing around and sticking to one idea until you've accomplished your goal. Breaking down your targets into smaller segments is a good idea because it will also help you build your confidence ! I remember when I made $1 online ! I just could stop smiling! i then remember thinking to myself I just have to do this a million times now...lol !

I personally found the easiest method was basic site flipping; (this is buying and selling websites, like property development). I could make a wordpress blog, all reeady to go within half and hour or so, then list it in two market places:

    1. eBay
    2. Flippa

I could easily make between $10-$40 a piece, so you can see how the numbers add up..!

Slowly but surely you will hit your target !

Below are some revenue models for your consideration:

    - Selling own products (or products you have rights to) as a vendor
    - Promoting other people's products as an affiliate and earn commissions
    - Publishing free contents as an online publisher or a blogger and earn advertising fees (own advertising program or third party advertising programs such as AdSense)
    - Publishing paid content as a membership site owner and earn subscription fee.
    - Providing service for fee (such as writing articles and programming)

By the way, here's a good (and free) guide on affiliate marketing: How To Promote ClickBank Products | Free ClickBank Guide

I selected waihon's answer to quote because its better to give out the options and allow you to choose the ones that interests you. As many people say blogging is good but you need to constantly update it and you've to be patient till it grows and becomes established. In my opinion people who quickly rise to the top are those that create killer products or start membership sites that provides valuable content. Again its your choice.

I agree - one good way to get started is to begin right away with a blog. You could even make it a journal of all the things you try out and do as you move through your IM business.

Hype, welcome to WF and hats off to your goal. Best of luck.

Yes, you can earn $5,000 per month. But, as soon as you enter the industry, you cannot get such amount as a newbie. You have to get some experience, that will bring you more lessons. That will lead you to earn $5000 or more. One of the big and important thing is "hard working" same as in other industries too

    Hi Hype,

I'm new to the Internet Marketing Niche, also. And the best route that I have taken was to join a mentorship program with a community of others, especially going under the wing of someone that is very successful online. Some of them are expensive, but the value far outweighs to cost.

    All the best,
    Karen

I am kind of a newbie also, even though I have 7 months since I started Internet Marketing. So I can tell you from my experience that the best thing is NOT to try it on your own. You will only lose money (I know I did, at first).

Me, for example, I joined Wealthy Affiliate, and they have a lot of tutorials and videos that will teach you all the basics of IM, but also advanced tactics about how to make money online.

So, you have to get someone to teach you and point you in the right direction, otherwise you'll end up frustrated and with no money fast.

    Good luck to you.

I would agree with Yellowboy when he said

"Stay focused and don't get distracted by all these shiny products and promises in the sales letters"

I think it's very inportant to stay focused on one thing and not let other products get you side tracked, by doing so you are opening up your self to get infomation overload and that my friends is something you dont want.

Keep focused on one thing set a goal to get that one thing done and after you have completed it then move on to a new project and keep repeating this step.

    Hope that helps as well.
