By far it is kindle/createspace for me.

Not in terms of the amount of traffic it brings but the quality of business if brings.

Last year 42.37% of new business came from my book.

We converted book based queries at something ridiculous like 74%

Within 2 years the book is now responsible for 35% of the companies profit.

Youtube since 2012. It's still working until today. But just got competitive right now.

Forums have been very helpful for me! It also helps me to connect with great people like you. I have various sources of free traffic like social media, guest blogging, blog commenting etc. Free traffic sources are very much dedicated and they trust me.

I am intrigued by the idea of using Instagram. I am unfamiliar with how that works as a traffic generator. I'll have to look into tht.

The best way that i can say is traffic from search engine, when someone types a keyword on google they find your products and your offers. the second traffic source is through youtube, video marketing is really powerful and bring good results, the third is through social media sites nowadays there are many social sites that brings tons of traffic to your blog.

Yes, Instagram is really a massive traffic source. If you love to share image then Instagram is for you.

I seem to be getting quite a bit of traffic from Twitter, even thought I don't spend much time on it, apart from making the odd tweet now and then.

Well in my opinion there is no "the best" when we're talking about "free traffic source", if you want to be "popular" you need to use YouTube,Facebook,Instagram,Twitter,QA website and basically you need to work hard and to invest all your time in what you need to promote.

Haven't tried Instagram yet, but Facebook groups and actually YouTube comment sections bring in a respectable amount of free traffic, being very simple in nature.

Is it quality traffic? 50/50 I guess. What an entrepreneur online should focus when it comes to traffic generation is to get the quality leads, the warmer leads, people who are ready to take action and consume the content you're offering.

Keyword research is the ultimate in my book. The more targeted keywords you use the better the quality of converting traffic you will attract.

Another good way is to comments on forum with relevant and interesting information to spread knowledge

Google (organic). Didn´t have to do any SEO in my niche, because it´s not that competitive.

YouTube videos are doing fine as well.

Couldn´t make Twitter work, but that might be my fault. :-)

If you are an Amazon affiliate you can easily rank on Youtube and Google reviewing Amazon best sellers og products that will release in the nearest future.

It´s long term, but if you have, lets say 300 videos on YT, and make just a dollar a day from them, that´s good money.

I base a lot of my business on Youtube because if you go for buyers keywords, then it´s not hard to make money even if your videos are not to professional.

Instagram and Facebook work the best. And some Q&A sites are also helpful.

Personally it has to be YouTube. I have had a lot of success extracting free targeted traffic to my affiliate/products. I have been doing it since 2010 and YouTube has pretty much not changed however it has got more competitive over the years.
