How you would do marketing for a FinTech startup?

Hello,

I am currently working as a marketing intern for a new startup called MoneyMailMe, which is an app for money transfer and microtransactions. It also has included chat and video call. So you can call it a social money transfer app.

As we are a startup, we have limited marketing budgets. I'm in charge of developing growth hacking strategies to increase awareness and daily active users.

One of the user personas we identified, broadly speaking, is living in the UK, has between 18 - 25 years, is a student and likes going out. This user finds itself often in group buys situations where he or she must participate with money in various interactions. ex dinners, parties, lending money to a friend, buying presents for someone etc.

We have a brand ambassador project which has the purpose of getting to tech savvy influencers in the UK and grow our brand organically.

We operate outside the UK at the moment and I have trouble penetrating the target market communities and coming up with strategies for identifying influencers that could become a brand ambassador.

I was wondering if there are any growth marketing experts around here that could provide some birds eye advice on how to use growth marketing to increase daily active users.

Also how you would go on with finding influencers that could become brand ambassadors?

Even though this post is about growth hacking, I think it may benefit for being in the general discussion forum at least for a while. If this post gains some traction it can be used as a study case or sticky board.

Thank you.
