Duplicate Pages and Duplicate Offers Concern

Hi, everyone! I joined the Warrior Forum earlier this winter after revamping my copywriting services website to sell PLR. My challenges have been getting my "internet marketing" skills up to speed. So I've been working on growing my list, becoming familiar with Warrior Forum and Warrior Plus, and affiliate sales on JV Zoo.

My concern is about duplicated offers. I'll give you an example. This week, I launched some Dog PLR here on the WF. Since I also have a membership area of my site, I plan to also publish a sales page directly on my site.

Is it okay if the two offers are identical? Meaning, if I dupe the sales page and leave all the copy exactly the same but change the Buy Button, will that be considered spammy?

Also... if I offer a special sale on WP but decide to list the original price on my site, that's okay, right? Big box stores do it all the time... don't they? I just want to be sure I'm keeping my P.O. factor down as low as possible.

Thanks in advance. What a great resource this place is!

If it's considered spammy but you make sales, is it a problem?

    In itself, it's not spammy.

If you offer a discount to members of Warriorforum but not on your site, it's your right. As long as things are clear, you don't have a problem.

If you have the same offer on 2 or 72 places and they all bring you sales at a price you like, more power to you!

Thanks @DABK. My concern is that my site would sink lower in the search engine rank. That was what I meant by "spammy."

I vibe with D on this one. Some may seem it as being spammy but in the end, if you provide something useful and folks get benefits from buying, you are likely A-OK. I myself prefer to create only unique ad copy or content for posts or sales pages, but that's just me.

Another note; see how you *feel* about it. If it feels really spammy to you, your energy can effect sales. Gotta get clear on it and you will drive sales and feel better about the approach.

What pages are ranking right now? How high?

There's a thing called no-index. You don't have to index all pages. You can link from from a landing page to a page that is not index, people can click on the link, end up on the no-index page.

Not quite sure what the problem is.

If you have page a, ranking for "widgets", and it's a sale page for red widgets and you have a page for blue widgets that's identical to the red widgets page and you need it to sell the blue widgets, no-index it. Your widgets page will still rank for red widgets. On the widgets page you can have a link to blue widgets, on the red widgets page you can have a link to blue widgets.

      Everybody ends up happy.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

But there's another way to look at it...JVZoo seems to have pretty good "authority" with Google and it may be a lot easier to rank your JVZoo (and Warrior Forum) sales pages easier than the sale page on your own site.

I suggest you don't fight it too much and go with the flow. The worst that will happen is Google will only rank one of your pages.

Not to mention...Your primary goal should be to recruit affiliates to make sales for you, making sales yourself should be secondary. There really aren't any duplicate content issues when affiliates send emails for you.
