Need Advice on Finding High-End Products to Promote

Hi,

I read this great post on Jimmy D. Brown's blog where he says that "it takes about as much effort to find a new customer and persuade them to buy a $10 product as it does to find and persuade a customer to buy a product that's $100, $500 or even more."

My question is, where do I start searching for higher-priced products to promote? Aside from Amazon and Clickbank, I don't know where to start. I'm tired of knocking myself out promoting $17 ebooks and $19.99 video games.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I don't necessarily agree with that quote. Sure, it might be almost as easy to sell a higher priced item, but you also have to consider how many you'll be able to sell. Private Jet Salespeople make 1-2 sales a year in a good year, but for a used car salesperson, that wouldn't even cover one week... so you have to factor how many sales these higher priced items will make, how much search traffic they have, etc. Toyota sells a bunch of low priced items and makes a lot of money, Mercedes sells a few high priced items and makes a lot of money. It just depends on the strategy that you want to use. Pick one and stick with it until it works!

    Hi Michelle,

There is a thread around that has a good collection of high-end, high-paying affiliate programs.

I don't remember the title, but if I'm not mistaken it was in the form of a contest with a cash prize...."$100 for the best list of high-paying affiliate programs or something like that"

If anyone else reading this remembers the thread I'm talking about please post the link here for Michelle.

    All The Very Best,

    Tony

You should also consider affiliate programs that pay continuing commissions, such as web hosting and autoresponder services.
