I don't understand Audience Insights

Hi, I'm having a hard time understanding the Audience Insights tool. I'm researching specific interests but I don't understand what the "Page Likes" on top mean. The Page Likes shows top 10 Categories. Many of the top 10 Categories if not all of them are not relevant to the interest at all. Can someone basically explain what Page Likes mean?

Also the the Affinity tab has been removed. I know that Affinity means the probability that this audience likes this particular page more than everyone else. Now I only see Relevance, Audience, Facebook. Is Facebook the same as Affinity?

Thanks for helping.

I see similar issues too, but never really get to figure it out or use it at all. Hopefully some other people would be able to help you.

I figured out what Page Likes is. It is the people who like the specific interest you are searching for also likes these pages. Simple as that!

I don't put too much weight on things like pages liked, etc. If you see that there is page liked that is relevant to the audience you are trying to build, then add it to your list of interests (keywords), other than that, most of the times these pages like are of no interests to you.
You should because they are more targeted audience! The first top 10 categories must be relevance to your targeting. If you don't do this, the audience will scatter in alot of different interests. People who like the specific interest you're targeting also like different things. I would avoid doing this imo.

Alright, so I'm starting to understand Audience Insights much better now. One problem I see is, I always see Amazon page listed on the Top category, and I know I shouldn't use Amazon for targeting. The question is why wouldn't I? If the people I target also like Amazon, why is it not okay to target those people who also like Amazon?

Appreciate any help I can get.

    Thank you!
