Hyper active twitter poster

I stumbled across this guy in the same industry as me. He's posting like every single minute on his twitter account. Like he has about half the messages are just interesting pictures, quotes etc etc. The other half promote his website or whatever.

so I was kinda in shock when I seen this....

I was thinking I better see what you all think of this and if you think it's a good way to grow your twitter, and most importantly how would you set up like that to be posting that much?

    Nina,

Personally, I think this person is wasting a lot of time. My guess is, he is not making a lot of money as a result of this effort. Yes, there are ways to automate posting on just about every platform there is . . . but there are many, many ways to promote a business and Twitter is not the most efficient or productive way to do it. The question you have to ask is "How is posting on Twitter directly translating to income?"

Just having Twitter followers, or Facebook likes, or all the rest does not mean that people are buying from you. All the profitable business owners I know diversify their promotions and don't spend a lot of time on any one venue. Certainly there are more productive ways to make money than spending your day on Twitter.

Posting links non-stop? No good. Forcing business.

Engaging non-stop? Superstar in the making. Look at Sam Hurley. The guy is brilliant, a mega Twitter star. Use Twitter to talk to people, to engage, and you can work it aggressively.

A few years ago, someone told me about Hootsuite to automate
my twitter and apparently it works. I rarely post anything on
twitter yet I'm constantly getting followers. Keeping it on the
    back burner for now.

How is the guy faring in terms of the tweets that he makes?

Are people really liking his tweets or re-tweeting?

How well has he optimized his Twitter profile?

It is not a good practice to keep on posting tweets every hour..as a matter of fact one should make it a point to post atleast 2-3 tweets everyday and once you start getting traction you can always reduce it to one tweet. It is also important to have hashtags included in your profile, as we all know the Twitter algorithm works around hashtags. One should include atleast two hashtags in his posts. Quite sure tools like Hootsuite and Buffer help you with the automation but make sure to spread it across a number of accounts instead of just one.

    Hello,

Twitter is based on a number's game. This is different from Facebook / Instagram where posting too often will just annoy people.

There are two ways to approach Twitter.

    # Authority

This is when you post rarely but when you post, it actually matters. It helps if people know you and are interested in receiving what you post.

    # Playing for impressions.

This is the funnel strategy. If you have X posts, Y people will read them, Z people will take a desired action. As Y and Z tends to remain a constant, the fastest way to improve your sales is to have more posts. After all, you're fighting for their attention and if you post 20 tweets and one of them gets their attention, you've accomplished your mission.

I don't know how much is too much but as far as I see it, there is no penalty for posting too much on Twitter. It is not like most people read their feed one by one but simply scan and check what gets their attention. It is similar to Tinder - the more you swipe right, the more matches you'll get. Your conversion rate does not increase or decrease based on the volume.

    Best regards,
    Razvan Rogoz
