What about Marketing Automation :O

So im new to the Forum, were an Agency in Switzerland doing Demand Gen and other wizardry!

And browsing around here I dont see any mentions of it, the magic tool of all tools.
Is anybody on here using Marketing Automation at all? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

No you have the right tree, although you need an opinion from experts like myself to move you forward.

Marketing automation is simple, and I'm going to say this bluntly to you because you're in business.

    Automate it.

I think what sometimes holds business owners back is that they have this great idea that they know will make them rich and help alot of people, but its difficult to express that idea. And even if they started expressing it they would see all the flaws in it and where it needs work. It's evolving the more they talk about it.

So what I did was I just created "it", I just made and sold it and figured out the rest on the way!

Thanks Chris, not sure I understand what you wrote.

I know what it is, we're gold partners of a few MAPs but I was wondering if anybody else uses it around here

Do you know what Demand Gen is? You aren't helping yourself here.

    Welcome Vince,

I've used a variety of automation solutions originally for managing sales paths and lead scoring etc. Mostly just disecting prospects into different paths and sending them sequential emails with a variety of action based scores attached.

We combine that with won/lost scenarios where we move people into different paths depending on their activities through the sequences.

Outside of my primary business I've worked with clients where we've had to integrate their systems with various lead generation and social activities.

Lately I've been running some stuff with Active Campaign and Zendesk building out some of our old processes but adding the website activity tracking capabilities that is now available but wasn't in some of our older solutions.

Leveraging automation is pretty much essential for my business because it has so many different components across both offline and online that we'd seriously stunt our growth without some of the marketing automations we've built out.

How are you using marketing automation?

    Best regards,

    Ozi

    Automating does rock Vince.

For me, I add a heavy manual element though, engaging on social, because I can only market so much until folks think I am a bot and not a Biddulph

I like to automate whenever and wherever I can

Two of my favorite automation tools are Firefox add-ons...namely Clippings and iMacros:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...don/clippings/

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...s-for-firefox/

Clippings gives you "quick keys" that help save time and effort while copying and pasting, and iMacros can automate clicking around a page in a super simple fashion.

    Highly recommend these two tools
