I was reading a very interesting article lately and it talked about how "desire" was not only overrated as far as being the main catalyst for Success in highly accomplished individuals ,in some instances it was downright counter productive.

Above everything else putting things in "motion" by taken consistent, well thought out "action" was the most productive ingredient.

The older I get the more I realize how true this is. Its easy to have desire and talk about peoples' problems and how you are going to solve them etc..etc..

But sooner or later you have to put your nose to the grindstone

True true Robert. Analysis paralysis strickens most folks. Me included, for a minute. Then I erred in the other direction, working like hell but doing dumb stuff Over time I got clearer, and thought things through, acted, and success flowed to me with greater ease.

hey there

to start making money online?... make sure you are passionate about your niche

its a little harder to make money these days but the sky is still the limit

to be successful you will need to devote several hours every day to your business and not 30 minutes

a day as most of the nay sayers will want you to belive just to sell their tapes

the easiest way make money is promoting digital products or blogging

why?

because they work and startup cost is almost zero

pay traffic and or free traffic will be the back bone of your business.

so

be prepare to have some working capital to buy traffic or prepare to learn how to drive free traffic to

your niche

1. create your landing page or blog and start advertising
2. be patient ... it will not happen over night
3.start promoting 1 niche and continue until you get some sales then you can add another

I agree with the video approach. Youtube (by Google) & Facebook and their sub-companies are very serious to develop bigger market with video things. Just make sure your video style matches with your niche.

Start with a desire, want, teaching, learning, retailing, recruiting, a need. Find your heart in business and you will find a fortune.

I see that you are passionate about what you stand for but you really have to understand that this is a marketing site and not Mills & Boom

People on here come to asked a question on how something works so they can make money, heart has nothing to do with it more like mindset

If you have a mindset of part time that's all you make part time money , there is a stat going around that only 8-10% make any money on this forum and that's because they look at as a business and not a shiny object

old saying " learn something once and get good at it so you can sell or teach others and you make Bank"

If you ask one of the many warriors who put up " why cant make money on web/blog/affiliate most will tell you they followed some WSO saying "Work 3-4 hours a day and you can make $10,000 week"

This is business for business people

I'm not big on the whole do what you are passionate about.

If what you are passionate about isn't very monetizable, you will have problems.

I heavily promote lead generation offers and have been doing it for over 16 years. However, I have never been passionate about anything I promoted. However, I'm passionate about the systems and processes created to do it.

Follow your passion. Monetize it, by tying passions to problems. Then put in that time. Good advice. I tend toward diving in with more than a few hours daily but go with your gut on time spent working as a newbie.

In this business you really have to find yourself. There is a lot of self development talk, purpose desire, perseverance, following one path, putting the blinders on, taking action, finding your why, and reason.

I really thing the last two, finding your why and reason a re the most important. It's more of the core value of your desire and purpose for attainment and doing it. Perseverance will be next.

I have no doubt that any of people, even you can make it in this industry. If you sit down by your self and figure out what you want. Really that's all it takes. Rest is mechanics, putting yourself into action, learning and fortune, riches, wealth, what ever you want to call it, will follow.

Take inventory of yourself, what is it that you want. Doesn't have to be necessarily other people from the start. That can come in as you go. Even the next day. It is about others. Sit down and decide what is it that you want.

Find out what is it that you want first. You can't take someone to the movie without first wanting to see it. Or to get pleasure out of someone else being happy.

Your want, desire has to be stronger, then anything that will get in your way. Being flexible, willing to learn, let go of the ego.

Let go of some things, because you will find the solution to your wealth.

I see a lot of passion or no passion in this thread.

I'm freaking passionate about the idea of being completely 'self sufficient'.

We have all seen first hand that in order for us to transition into a successful self reliant Internet Entrepreneur, it damn well will take some doing.

Becoming self reliant online is a form of freedom.

And if you aren't passionate about FREEDOM, why even bother?

Great post!

One thing I suggest for anyone who wants to make money online, is to look at the ways you succeeded in other areas of your life and apply it to internet marketing.

Are you a visual learner?

Are you a hands-on learner?

Do you learn better in a group setting?

Do you learn better in a 1-on-1 setting?

Those are questions you should ask yourself before getting into the trap of buying product after product.

Just identify what your strengths are when it comes to achieving success in other areas of your life and apply it to your process of learning internet marketing.
