Hi I'm new here,

Is it ok to use the pictures from a report/website of the product I would like to promote in my ads or anything? Of course i would cite it as reference.

Thank you in advance...

    "Why not?"

Because the image is copyrighted and using it may require permission or paying a fee to use it. It doesn't matter if you "reference it" or not.

If this is for an affiliate ad for a specific product - the seller or the platform will clearly outline what can and cannot be used by affiliate on their sites/ads.

Just ask them. (Maybe they will be happy to?)

For instance years (and years) ago one of my most successful Websites was promoting guitar chords and the Provider/Webmaster was happy for me to share (the chords he created) with my visitors because I then recommended his service to them.

Not to say that I have not done this in the past. But after learning about copyright laws...I no longer do it.

    Not worth getting sued.

Always ask the owner of the image and permission has to be in writing

Seriously just ask them: The worst they can say is "No."

Just say something like: "I'm interested in promoting your Product with PPC and would appreciate it if I could use your images in my campaign."

Yeah, I have to agree on this. There are copyright laws and it will be better to follow them. Maybe you can search for an alternative image which are royalty free or under creative commons license.

    Good luck!
