1 Most Confusing Thing About Making Money Online
Not a products game.
If you develop skills which address a pressing problem, in a specific niche, and learn, share value and build your friend network, you position yourself to make nice coin online.
This concept is so confusing to many folks who feel that a hot niche, product, tool, service, or blogging, or social media marketing is the money maker.
I have used this analogy before: A hammer cannot hammer a nail into the wall. Need a human to do that. And the human better be skilled or else they will do a crappy job, hammering the nail in at a terrible angle, or at worst they smash their thumb and head to the emergency room.
But many Warriors complain, or quit, feeling entirely confused and frustrated when the hammer they purchased didn't hammer a nail into the wall on its own....aka.....when the hot niche did not earn them money. A hot niche is lifeless, totally inanimate. The skilled entrepreneur offering useful service through the hot niche builds a tidy profit, by doing something helpful and problem solving for human beings interested in the niche.
A product, blog or social media, or *anything* outside of you will not make money for you. You and your devotion to developing problem solving skills will help lay the foundation for prospering.
So the next time you say, "I tried this and that and it didn't make money", own your failure and say "I didn't develop my skills so I am not making money." The hammer needs a skilled carpenter to make it sing and products or services need a skilled entrepreneur to make them sing too, to the point of selling those suckers and assisting human beings in the process. This cuts through any confusion and also positions you to hone your craft through persistent work, so you can solve specific problems, better humanity, and yes, earn some coin.
