Hi Warriors:

Hope the week went well.

I am working on a marketing plan for a company and the CEO wanted to get as many people (obviously me as well) to give input on this if they have knowledge or can ask somebody they feel could add validity.

If a new company was beginning business January 1, 2010 and had solid financial resources in place as well as the most well known expert in the industry as the CEO what percentage of business (out of 100 percent) from existing companies would be realistic to siphon the first year because of customer dissatisfaction and or curiosity for the newcomer?

Please don't combine percentages for 1 and 2, please think of each percentage as its own entity. Thank you.

Secondly please what percentage (out of 100 percent) of business would be realistic to obtain from those that have not used any of the competition previously and we are all starting on a level playing field to earn the customers/company's respect?

To put things in perspective it is understandable that if this were a new soft-drink company the numbers would be low because Coca-Cola is one of three companies in the USA to have 90 percent name recognition and the satisfaction of the products is far superior than most could ever dream of.

With that said if we could use the consulting/marketing/solution model as the industry.

Even if you don't have experience in the specific field, please contribute with the area of expertise you are coming from.

As always your help is appreciated!!
