Has anybody had success with dot info sites?

I have always had good success getting my sites (dot org, com & net) ranked with good SEO work in the search engines. I am wondering if anybody has had good success with dot info or other extensions getting organic traffic to their site.
Thanks in advance,

Timothy

The suffix doesn't matter unless you're targeting a specific country and even then I think it's negligible.

Thanks Michael, I have also pondered using .eu (European Union) I have offers that are good worldwide. Don't know anybody who has tried that one.

    It doesn't matter one bit.

My experience is that search engines don't rank the domain name or extension (at least not in the last 5 years). Rank is determined by how relevant a page's content is to the search term and how authoritative it is compared to other relevant pages for the same term.

These are tough to do well with. Only because unless you are linking specifically online, any offline traffic will automatically think dot com. Not good for search traffic. Or branding either.

Really? I did not think it was relevant. The important factors are your page content, backlinks and authority. A site is ranked on those basis and many more.

They are NO good for branding. But rank just the same as the others.

If it's the name of your product or business don't do it. Everyone presumes it will be .com.

If you're ranking something that's not brand building, then no problem. I've ranked .info before.

If your content is fully related to your website then i can't see an issue.
