Need advice on starting an Online Business via Website.

Hello, I am currently looking forward to start a website for an Online Business. Now, there are plenty of e-commerce websites , news websites, gaming news websites etc. I was wondering to start an adult website. I would spend my every hour behind that site in promoting and building up traffic. I will give my all in working hard on managing the site. Of course, I will hire a professional website maker to build me that site and help me promoting and catching traffic and of course gonna pay him.
But I am just asking that whether it will be a good idea to start an adult website? I will keep video streaming, downloads, uploads, and all kinds of categories to be honest. I won't rule out a single thing. Basically I will combine every thing and every type of adult thing and put in my site.

Should I go for it , or what will be any other good online business idea via website that will fetch me at least 1800 - 2000 USD per month?

    "Is it a good idea to start an adult website?" Well it depends. Do you have a source of targeted traffic in this niche? Have you had experience in this niche ever?

    I would only ever pursue with a niche if I knew I had a source of targeted traffic. If traffic is not an issue and you have a hot selling product to affiliate for that niche, then there is no reason why you should not pursue.

    I'd start a business around your passion Finn. That's where the bigger money is - over time, and after you have developed your online skills - so unless p*rn is your passion, I'd scrap that idea. The niche does not make the money; your devotion to rendering useful service, solving problems and developing your skills, and friend network, does.

    Parenting or weight loss niche websites get more traffic in google, If you start Adult website you have to promote investing few amounts for ads.

      yes gone are the days you just put up a porn site and expect them to come.

      Gotta invest in ads, testing, tweaking and see what the compteition is up too.

      Build a list if you can. Got a guy here in OZ making 1 million dollars every year, by putting people on his list and offering porn affiliate programs.

      Its all about the HOW in the adult niche. I do not do this niche, but its very lucrative if you do it the right way...... that is only a select handful. But some good strategies in herer.

      NO matter, what you do, go through the first part of this forum and learn about LIST BUILDING it will change your life.

    If you are just starting out the easiest and best way to make money right now is E-commerce using Shopify and Aliexpress.

    You can get started with less than $100, and can scale quickly.

    The other methods mentioned in this thread require A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY. These are more long term methods to make money online.

    In my opinion when you are just starting out you want to make $2000 per month as quickly as possible! THEN you can diversify into more methods that are more long term.

    The challenge is not building the site or getting content.

    The challenges are finding a host that won't shut you down and getting traffic.

    You really need to research this before you commit or you'll just be another online failure.

    It's been said to you already, but, follow your passion. What (excuse the verbiage in this context) gets you off? Not sexually. I'm talking about; what would you do for free because you just love doing it?

    Whatever that is, do that!

    As much as I appreciate a good pornographic experience...there is a ton of competition out there already.

    Anyway, is good to start adult niche since the market is huge which mean full of potential customers, however adult niche is too wide and you need to niche it down until very specific and get that small percentage of customers.

    2 Suggestion for you since you just start out
    1. Build a squeeze page and membership website
    2. Build a squeeze page and a sales page to solve a problem

    You choose one of the above and build on it and drive traffic.
