INTERNET MARKETING

Okay guys I need your help big time. I had flyers made a few months ago and I got busy so I couldn't pass them out, but know I can. Only one problem though I have to links in the landing page one works and one doesn't. I need to replace the one that doesn't work with a new one that does work. Only problem is I lost my password and I have no idea how to fix it. I'm ready to pass out the flyers but it would be very unprofessional if one link doesn't work.:confused:

I think it is actually unprofessional to lose or forget your password, but alas I know it happens, so why can you not just email your hosting service and get new password?

Yea how stupid of me!!! But we all make mistakes. Well its a wordpress blog. I basically bought a domain and sent it to my host and used it there. Can the password still be retrieved?

Since you've used your own hosting, you can solve this problem. You already know how to install the blog, so do it again on the same domain.

Why doesn't anybody use the phone anymore? Just call your tech support at your hosting company (No excuse if it's long distance. I call mine in the US via Skype and it costs 2c/min).

  Actually, if you still have access to your hosting account you should be able to enter a new password in the mysql database for your wordpress blog.

I've had similar things happen. When I can't remember which e-mail I used, I try them all until hitting the right one.

if you are totally unable to figure out your wordpress login, I can help you create a new one -- without having to re-install wordpress (yikes!). I would need to get cpanel access, but it would be very fast for me to fix after that.

Done it TONS of times.

Hey Moe, Did you get your problem solved?

It's actually a pretty easy process... if you know what you are doing...Follow MagicGenie's Link, that's probably the best written post on how to recover your wordpress admin password I've seen.

  Well, I'm glad you got it sorted out.
  
  I just found this post, and was going to share my own trick, and so I'll do that since maybe it's still useful to someone.
  
  I've had a bunch of trouble with forgetting my WP password and it wouldn't send it to me. I finally figured out that I can actually look them up -- they're in the wp-config.php file!
  
  So just go to C-Panel and look at the wp-config.php file for the blog in question, and it will be in there and easy enough to find.
