It is your business. This is something you have to know. When we want to find products to promote or sell we do our research, you need to do the same.

If you aim to be a pure affiliate, in other words, you have no ambition to create your own brand and sell your own product line, you need to look for products that people buy repeatedly. From your list, baby food, toys and clothes meet this test.

Next, look at the possible commissions. Check Amazon's updated commission schedule for the percentage paid for each category. Then look at the prices products in those categories bring. You want high enough prices to provide reasonable returns, yet low enough they don't scare people off. Multiply the price times the commission to get your revenue per item.

(Hint: look for items people buy in multiples. In this niche, cloth diapers might be a possibility.)

If the numbers work for you (as Al pointed out, it's your business), any of these are a possibility.

    > Baby food - the kid has to eat, right?
    > Toys - now you aren't just aiming for parents; grandparents will spend huge to spoil that grandbaby.
    > Clothes - kids keep outgrowing their clothes, needing new ones.

(Another business idea - set up a site where parents can trade 'gently used' baby clothes and take a fee for each listing.)

Don't get hung up on which product is "best". Find one that's good enough to get started and then get started. If you choose wrong, you can always make adjustments later.

Choose something you think you can actually write about every day for the rest of your life or you'll hate it. And that will show in your content.
