Drop the SEO you are doing for your site and start focusing on paid ads.

Seo its a complicated thing and its very very hard for beginers .Start with free traffic like forums comenting per example or youtube etc .Also paid traffic its very good because its gets you fast results

Treat SEO as a bonus. Without consistent traffic, it will be difficult to rank well with only SEO.

You are building a list. That is a good start.

One suggestion, put your form, preferably with a freebie / lead magnet on the top right hand of the post, I think that will be the place where most people will sign up for your list instead of just a pop up.

If you are going to use paid traffic, make sure that it is directed to a lead capture page. Capture the leads, and send them to your blog on a regular basis as well as your old content.

Use forum marketing / blog commenting / video marketing to drive more people to your website.

Don't depend solely on SEO.

I don't know why you start from affiliate marketing to monetize your website,
to be successful affiliate marketing you needs an extra works to pull audience to your website then engage them with best opportunities. You also needs knowledge about the products you promoted in your website, making words to make your visitors completely trust the information you provided is useful and could be reference them to buy.

Pop up too soon I was still trying to figure out where I was.

The first thing I see is an Hosting affiliate link.

I know this was just your latest blog post but the topic was isolated and did not really have anything to do with the site name and there is no sorta introduction to your visitor on what your site is and what you are about or who you are.

You can add a subtitle tagline after the Welcome and share what your blog is here to accomplish. Then get my email address.

You can have an about page that also has a lead capture

I would stop trying to focus so much on SEO and focus more on creating good useful content that your 'target' market would find valuable.

Your target market are the people who would take out their credit cards and buy from you.

But don't focus too much on selling right now but more on solving problems for your future audience.

After you have some good content on your blog, then start putting that useful content 'in front' of your target market using social media and even forums in your niche.

Don't ever Spam your content links.

Instead...where ever you platforms you decide to use, always add to that community in the form of value.

Youtube would probably be your best bet. Easy to rank and a lot of link juice.

Also web 2.0 sites like wordpress and blogger are super powerful and easy to create.

Develop a skill or skills by practicing daily. Solve problems. Build your friend network. The affiliate product or service is a mere channel; the money is made through the skills and problem solving abilities you bring to the table.

Focus on paid ads if you are facing issues ranking and make sure your blog content is always 100% related to your website.
