Planning to Start Digital Ads Agency

Hello,

I am planning to start a digital ads agency, but I am confused about how to start. I am looking for an expert who has experience in the required field. I would like to accept your valuable suggestions on how to get started and what to do, etc. I am also looking if someone else have a demo documentation.
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    I'm not trying to be rude, but if you don't even know what your agency should be doing for clients, are you really ready to start your own agency?

    Demo documentation on what? Processes other agencies use to serve their clients won't be disclosed 99.9% of the time.

    What you may want to do is try and intern or work for another agency to get a better idea yourself.

    Can you elaborate what you already know in terms of knowledge or services you can provide yourself and your background and maybe someone else can help further?

      I know what to do for clients after starting the ads agency but i want some 'kind' and informative person to let me know how it works from A-Z, if you don't mind so.

        Great.

        So you know what to do with clients when you get them. This means to me, you know how to develop their online presence through whatever advertising medium they are currently using (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, Native Ads etc).

        A snapshot of what A-Z looks like:
        1. Create Your Own Portfolio & Case Studies
        2. Create Your Own Lander / Advertising Materials
        3. Advertise on whatever medium your unique client base can be reached at
        4. Since you're driving traffic to your landing page, run an autoresponder and direct sales funnel using whatever else (tripwires etc) that you need to do to start booking client consulting calls or paid clients.
        5. Onboard the client. Any contracts, agreements etc, get them signed during this process. Gather whatever KPIs and metrics they currently have, their goals, your goals for them, and document everything. Onboarding is probably one of the best way to ensure the clients starts off on the right foot. During this process get access to their Analytics, GTM and whatever other metric tools you'll be using.
        6. Create an easy to read Dashboard for them on Google Sheets and/or Google Data Studio (or whatever other reporting software you will be using). Providing transparency for your clients also helps in retention.
        7. Do what you do best and deliver reports/deliverables as needed by your own system.

        I mean a lot of this is self-explanatory. If you need any more advice on how to run your own business, let me know.

        Just as a quick note, "A-Z" for you will be different than Company A, B, C and D.

        It all depends on what you are running and what you are doing for the client. I pay my advertising agency $2,000 + 10% of spend and really all they did was onboard us and they work with GCLIDs and Adwords itself and run the entire program. They create ads, correct mistakes we find etc. But to go into more detail about what to actually deliver isn't going to be the same.

    Go to inbound.org and see how the agencies there build up their brand

    Follow them on Twitter and see who they engage with

    Once you have enough information, reverse engineer what they do on Linkein.

      People may not believe your capability unless you can prove you have spent a couple of millions in ads (the more the better), and generated solid ROI for your previous clients.

      Rappormomrntum, I am planning now and very soon it will be started. Please read my replies to comments as well, maybe your doubts will be cleared.
      I know how to do, but I mentioned in the post "How to? What to do?" Because I want to collect every little point about "How to and what to do?" as a result i claim my self "I don't know nothing how it works" because I want to know different opinions/views/suggestions from different people/marketers.     The Digital advertising businesses is highly competitive. You need years of experience under your belt before you consider starting your own agency.

    Step 1. Get a minimum of 2 years, or more, of full time campaign management experience.

    Step 2. Raise a minimum of $50,000 in working capital to prepare for your launch.

    Step 3. Use your previous experience and knowledge to launch your own marketing campaign and start signing up customers.

    Along the way you need to develop a process for setting up new campaigns, a process for managing campaigns, a process for generating leads for your business, a process for building and managing a sales pipeline, a process for on-boarding new clients, a process for reporting campaign performance, a process for managing customer service, and an accounting process for billing, payables, and payroll.

    You will need to acquire skills and knowledge in:
    • Marketing Science
    • Advertsing Platforms & Tools
    • Analytic Marketing Systems, Tools, & Implementation Procedures
    • Professional Sales & Marketing
    • Web Design
    • Graphic Design
    • Conversion Optimization
    • Reporting Systems

    And this is just the tip of the Iceberg.

    Marketing is the most competitive aspect of managing a business, and Advertising is the most competitive of all marketing skills. You have to win customers, not only for your agency, but you also have to win customers for clients. There is no reward for coming in second in a competition to win a client. The agency that almost got hired gets nothing for all of their efforts, and the same goes for your clients' business. You need to be able to compete against the best of the best and win, else you are wasting everybody's time and money, including your own.

    I suggest that you find the best agency that will hire you, work for them for at least 2 years, learning everything you can. Then when you have the skills, knowledge and resources go for it. It might seem like something that you can just jump into and learn as you go, which you could have done if you were starting out 10-20 years ago, but now there are more than 50,000 agencies based in the U.S. alone, many more worldwide. You are going to get your butt handed to you in a sling if you try to wing it this day in age.

    Get the knowledge and skills first, else you won't last 6 months.

    Speaking about Ads Agency there are lots of model, CPC, CPM, CPA, CPV, etc.

    You might need to define which one you want to run.

    Create a great website frontend & backend.
    Offer some freebies in exchange for email leads.
    Post your offer on relevant forum.
    Do your SEO and link building home work in order to get Organic Traffic.
    Maintain your client's satisfaction.

    Note : Ads niche is a very hard niche. You might deal with lots of problem with Advertiser and Publisher if you dont have any experiences.
