      I totally agree. There are dozens of things you can do to increase the website traffic. Just pick one, give it 100% of effort and you will see the difference. You will burn out if you try do everything that you read online. What you can do in the beginning is to test out different strategies (social media, forums, guest posting etc), see what your niche responds best to, and then amplify your efforts on that particular thing.

    Create good content.

    Promote the content on social media on a daily basis.

    Post on relevant forums and set up your signature files then leave good, relevant comments and be the helpful one in the community.

    Comment on high traffic blogs.

    Build your own list, the send your list to your website.

    Create an ebook with your link, and distribute it out for free.

    Create a video for each blog post, and submit to youtube and link back to your blogs.

    Make acounts on every social media you can fb yt twitter redit etc ,make on all .When you create a post share it an all social media acounts .Also to try at least 3 articles per week and make nice articlles where you have quality content and they are not copied

    If you are promoting on social media, you can use Facebook and Twitter to drive good traffic to your site. And their offers are quite good. I prefer them over buying traffic on freelance sites.

    Here's my list (assuming you're in the IM space)

    1) Post to sokule.com (it is free - not my aff link)
    2) Create a signature link and/or a little banner you can include with your posts
    3) Comment on blogs
    4) Post to your profile on FB
    5) Post to groups that let you on FB
    6) Post on twitter
    7) Create a free report (a short one) writing it yourself or using PLR content and give it away here and on social media
    8) Create a live FB and Youtube video

    Ok, that's some of the methods you can use.
