Hi fellow warriors, I need your help.

I need to make some quick money because I need to pay bunch of bills. I have about $200 in my bank account as startup capital.Specifically, I need to make $500 in the next 2 weeks, and additional $1000 in 2 weeks thereafter.

Is this possible? If so, what's the best strategy to accomplish this?

I really appreciate your help very much!

    • Why Bing Ads? Why not Google Adwords? Adwords is better than Bing Ads, right?

Some of the ways to get money online:
      - Google Adsense: no so much if you have a new site with low traffics
      - Affiliate Marketing: you can get huge money if you get targeted visitor
      - Flipping Domain: it's the best way if you can find a good domain with low price, then sell it to the right buyer or end user.
  • Don't spend any of it. Also don't reply to anyone telling you they can "help you out". Focus on free methods then when you know what you're doing THEN spend your capital or you'll lose it all.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Well sory for you but i think its very hard to make this in 2 weeks .If be work of course if you use paid traffic but at first its hard until you learn how process goes ,fail spend some money etc .Of course it can be work also if you have luck ,Maybe search for an expert to help you
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • No.

You aren't going to earn $1500 in 30 days from affiliate marketing starting from 'go'. "Luck" has little to do with it when you are starting out - but it's always a good answer here.

If $200 is all you have - pay some bills. Get a job or temp work or sell things you own - and pay more bills. The internet will not save you.

The internet doesn't care WHY you need money and those who tell you "you can do it" aren't doing it themselves.

Is it possible to increase your cash 7.5 times in 30 days? As the dreamers will tell you - 'anything is possible'. Sounds good but doesn't work out that way.

Take a realistic approach - start small and WORK and LEARN as you go so this time next year you won't be asking for a miracle but will KNOW how to earn money online.

    • Like the way you put that. Stepped on my toes though, don't mind. I'm from Georgia but currently visiting New York. Planning to relocate here when I have enough money. I have a cleaning business and know I can "really clean up" New York. Can you kindly give me some advice on how to make this happen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :-)
  • Listen to what Kay says.

If it was so easy to turn $200 into $1500 in 30 days, everyone in this forum would be wildly rich and that's not the case.

  • Maybe - but not if you are adding affiliate links to forum posts....

Suggest you drop the personal insults - I'd say you haven't been here long enough to KNOW who the 'wackos' are.

Can we assume you are earning $100 a day or at least $1k a week??? Which is it?

  • Turning $200 into $1500 in 30 days?

    Two things come to mind:

    > Online panhandling. Come up with a sad enough story and you may find enough suckers - I mean donors - to bail you out. Once.

    > OTB - off track betting. Or one of the one-day fantasy sports sites. Of course, this relies on a whole lot of luck, and you're about as likely to lose your whole nut as you are to bail yourself out of trouble.

On second thought, go back and read Kay's post again...
    • [ 5 ] Thanks
  • I also think it is very hard to make that kind of money in just 2 weeks from scratch. Starting to get successful online requires a lot of time and effort. You cannot just get in, cash out and leave.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thank you very much guys for all your advise and suggestions.

    (1) How much money do you think I can realistically expect to make in 4 weeks then, if it's not that easy to make $1,500 in a month?

    (2) Someone suggested dropshipping to me. Do you think it's a good idea?

    (3) What's the easiest way that I can make ANY amount of money online quickly as a start?

I appreciate your insight and help very much!
    • [1] reply
    • The problem isn't that it's impossible to make $1500 in a month.

The problem is that you have no experience and $200 to start with.

Starting out in your position, the odds are stacked against you and it's extremely unlikely that you would ever make $1500 or possibly any money your first month.

If the only reason you are here is to try and turn a profit on the $200 that you have within the next 30 days, you are highly likely wasting your time.

OK now that you had a cold shower let's ask ourselves what would MacGyver do?

Well first of all you have to take into account will you get paid instantly? Most platforms may have a one month holdover.

If you performed a Service its perfectly possible. Even if you outsource the actual work to someone else it is possible. But these are relatively long shots.

If you bought something extremely popular for very low and sold it high or bought something broken and fixed it to like new still kinda long shots.

I would say just hammer the heck out of a high ticket affiliate link but again they may have a wait to get paid grace period and some would not even allow you to promote unless you could prove previous success.history.

If you have some online web properties perhaps you can sell them at auction. But they would have more appeal if they are making consistent revenue.

I love a challenge but this one if you do manage to accomplish it put it in a book and I will be first in line to purchase.

  • I have read about this business model and I am just sharing it but I have not dabbled with it before as it is different from my current online business model.

    There is something called arbitrage.

Basically, you search for someone who is paying a higher price for a service (e.g building website), and you find someone who offers to do it at a lower price and you earn the difference in the cash.

You will be acting as a middle man.

I think this method is taught in Arbritrage Underdog by Tom Ee.

I have not personally applied this model to make money online but it is something you can research about. Hope this helps

  • What are your skills? What are your assets? What do you have to offer others that's of value?

I won't say it's impossible to make that kind of money in that time span, only very VERY improbable. It's possible to do that buying and selling domain names, but you'll really need to know what to look for in a domain name and how and where to sell them....but I wouldn't bet on you being able to do it.

      - 5 years coding in PHP, javascript, and HTML (2011 to 2016)
      - 2 years in Drupal (2014 to 2016)
      - 2 years in Wordpress (2012 to 2014)
      - 2 years trading in CME and CBOT markets (2006 to 2008) using Elliott wave, Japanese candle sticks and other technical analysis and financial trading techniques
      - 3 years work experience as a Microsoft Computer Network Engineer (2003 to 2006)

Yes, I live in the United Stats.

I hurt my back so badly in an accident in March 2016 that I became unable to walk and unable to work until just recently, when my health has finally improved well enough to the point that I can walk almost normally and start to work again. However, all my savings ran out in the process. I need to make money asap.

Sure, I can find an offline job. But I would rather do something online, because I have a passion for using computers to make money from the comfort of my home, while allowing my back continue to heal and recover at the same time.

What's the best strategy in your opinion, my fellow Warriors? Thank you very much!

  • A new Internet Marketer has a better chance of making money by going to a casino and putting all his money on either red or black at the craps table. I think the odds are better.

Instead, find some type of a job and then slowly start your journey learning IM.

It takes most people a while to make money in IM unless they are very, very lucky.

If you can write or have some type of technical skill that you can sell then check out the freelance sites, for example, Upwork or Freelancer, and offer your services.

    • Its not very complex, not a rocket science making money online, you need to build an audience around a subject you know quite well via a blog or YouTube or a combination of both, publish them regularly in fb and twitter. That's for a solo-entrepreneur's route. Keep publishing content even if don't see any results anytime soon. This is where people give up. Keep pushing it. Search companies will help you achieve your goal if you listen to them. As you make some money even from adsense start investing your money slowly in OutBrain (or fb) like networks. Re-invest your money back in content creation and ads.

If you got money, then you can start with any niche because you are hiring professionals. This path is the fastest in terms you can quickly generate revenue but you need immense experience from the solo-entrepreneurship route.

Its not complex don't make it complex. Build an audience first.

  • First Amazon affiliate site I made made me 1 sale the 1st day after it was indexed. My cut from that sale? $0.41.

First Adsense site I made, made me the first penny about 3 weeks after I started it. My first Google commission was $1.35. It made me $19.37 or so, the next month.

First Clickbank site I launched has had over 500 unique visitors in the first month. That made me $0. By now, 6 years later, it's got thousands of visitors and I've made a whopping $0 from it.

First Squidoo lens I made, made me a whopping $0. So did the 2nd, 3rd and the whole first dozen I made. The 14th or 15th made me some $15.

The first free blogger site I launched made me $0. Though I gathered followers and some of them twitted 'bout an article or two of mine.

I made my first good money a few months into things, $2777 (or was it $2977?).

I had owned a brick-and-mortar business for 10 years before I started online. Did some marketing for that business. Thought about why people buy. Read some Dan Kennedy and a few others like him. Studied some of them.

In the end, I found ways to make money from my online marketing skills. But did you notice it took me a lot of time? Yes, some of it had to do with me chasing shinny objects; most had to do with me learning how to set up a landing page, set up a blogger site, a wordpress site, getting my webpages found, getting my webpages to convert. It took months. And I'm bright, damn it!

So, why does it have to be online?

You don't seem to have online skills.

It is a lot easier to look into older threads in the offline forum and find people's ways of making money offline, like re-polishing car lights, stenciling address numbers on the curb.

If you're in the US, you could make your $1000 driving for Lyft or Uber. Yeah, you'd need a car that passes their inspection, you need to pass their inspection, but even if you cleared only $11 after gas and car usage per hour, at the end of a month, you get your $1k and a bit more. And the flexibility to learn online marketing when you're not driving.

You have to be a loser so many times before a winner hits then you focus on it and run with it while it makes you money until one day it stops.

True, doesn't have to be online or can be a combination of online and offline.

Real example, there's a guy on Youtube with a few thousand active followers that's literally selling how to make money mowing yards with a push mower, ha, ha.

This is kind of comical considering push mowing a yard isn't complicated to figure out but If you think about it (he points this out on Youtube), no big landscaping business will mow a small yard, so there's money to be made.

So this guy takes a camera with him each time he mows a clients yard, gets payed for that, uploads the videos to Youtube and sells how to make money mowing yards.

It's a crazy niche but I have no doubt he's getting payed twice for the same work, offline mowing plus online followers/buyers. His Youtube subscribers love him.

  • Making money online is a process. Skilled and experienced marketers can make money online but just like Coyote said above...it's not something that a brand new person to this industry can accomplish right from the get go.

  • Go get an offline job. Make $1500. Pay what ya gotta pay.

  • One thing you can do with those skills, is to invest a little bit - I think it's under $20 and run a Warrior for Hire ad here. You can also advertise your services in your signature - I think that costs $5.

There is also a section here where Warriors want to hire other Warriors and if you keep watch you may come across something you can do.

And, don't pass over Kurt's awesome advice.

  • sry...but IM is not a good way to make some quick money.

You have to put a lot of work in before your see any money and this is only the case if you know what you are doing.

If you are a beginner who hasn't made money online before it will probably take 6 to 12 months before you will make any money.

Most people who start out with making money online will never make any "real" money.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Depends on how good you are at sitting in front of your screen and doing actual work for hours and hours. Day into day

If you think an affiliate business is for you, sure, go ahead and try what works best for you. Clicksure, Clickbank, Amazon. Try it all.

I was in stale mate situation for half a year not knowing which niche to enter, then finally settled down with affiliate programs provided by seo tools. It's a narrow niche but I've been doing SEO for so long that it seemed like a natural fit for me.

POINT IS: find your niche that you know your ways around

    Good luck

  • I have seen this question asked so many times on this forum. and yes, even in the same circumstances.

Good to see that the same old rubbish answers are being offered (sarcasm)

Thank you Kay and John for bringing some common sense and reality to this thread.
Sorry if am repeating some of what you have already said.

If you mean make this online with internet marketing then

    EMPHATICALLY NO.

As it's not possible there is no best strategy.

    Realistically your options are
    1. Get a job that pays weekly wages to get some actual cash in the bank.
    2. Sell anything you own that will raise a quick buck.
    3. Talk to your creditors right now and see if you can work out a better deal. Many creditors will agree to deferred or lower repayment plans but YOU need to speak with them directly and well ahead of the closing date.
    4. Use your $200 to offer some kind of initial payment off your existing debts (re:3 above)

For a newbie IM is always the worst choice for making quick money. Especially if it is crucial that you do so.

Realistically you have a better chance of making that money by putting that $200 on a horse. I AM NOT recommending you do that though.

Don't listen to anyone who says you make ANY money online in a couple of weeks from scratch. Maybe for an experienced marketer it is possible but not for a newbie and Not for anyone who is desperate to make money.

Work your way out of this current hole and when things are little more stable and you have time feel free to explore making money online. Who knows you could be wildly successful (I hope you are).

  • Hi there, the only way a newbie in IM will make $1500 in a couple of weeks is Luck!!! I mean the kind that can literally turn things around. Do not allow yourself to be deceived.

While working offline is a great idea, offering your skills for cash online may be a better option for you. I suggest you try freelancing.

    Regards!!

  • I clipped your post to show the most important part for this answer.

The best strategy I see has two parts:

Find an offline contract job that will solve your immediate problem. Once you get past crisis mode, move on to part two.

With those kinds of skills and experience, a consulting gig combined with something along the line Kurt talked about can give you multiple streams of income. Even additional contract work can offer you the kind of home-based income you need to rehab your back.

Speaking of Kurt's suggestion, expand your research to some of the sites that offer open source or free software. Many of these are useful ideas, but the coding is either inefficient, outdated or insecure. Update and improve the code to create something salable.

For example, one of the most common queries here is how to have a free autoresponder . If you could offer a self-hosted script that somehow overcame the problems with self-hosted scripts (easy to research - ESPs are happy to spell it out), you could have a very salable product you could either sell yourself or license to other vendors for a royalty.

There's more to Internet Marketing (even if some folks don't want to admit it) than affiliate marketing diet plans listed on Clickbank or JVZoo...

Selling web design, SEO or even better direct leads to businesses, but you will not learn how to do that overnight or even in 3-6 months. Find a job and have some dispensable income and then start over.

  • And...solidcash isn't really a newbie and has some marketable skills. It will probably be tough to get some jobs at first without reviews and ratings, but he could create accounts at sites like Freelancer to offer your services.

Also, advertising in Craigslist for these services in the largest major city close to you is another possibility.

Most folks that advertise on these platforms use very poor salesmanship and talk to much about "Me, myself and I". Using basic copywriting and writing a more "you" focused bio and offers could give a distinct advantage over the competition.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • anayb, I appreciate the compliment, but I'm not talking about setting up another aWeber type service.

From what I've read in your other posts, you seem most at home on the enterprise level. Even if we were talking about this specific example, I'd never recommend such a script for a company mailing millions of messages a month, or even a year.

But, as someone who has been using self-hosted email scripts for over a decade, at the relatively small scale most prospects for such a script operate on, most users would not make a blip on the radar of the major ISPs or watchdog services.

Since we're using this example, let me expand what I was trying to convey.

The OP listed some fairly impressive skills related to coding and software. If he were able to use those skills to eliminate the weaknesses in current self-hosted email scripts, I believe he would find a ready market among the relatively small time operators.

At an average base charge of ~$20/month (plus increases based on list size) an ESP is going to cost someone $240+ per year. If you offered them the same script for $240 one time, with no increases based on list size, do you think their would be buyers? Especially if you could remove the "spam folder" problem?

Apply the same thinking to other automation or WYSIWYG applications. If you could take a public domain script and improve it, could you sell enough of them to create a lifestyle income?

  • The best way is to learn how to do online marketing and find the product that works for you ( converts ) and legit affiliate program that pays on time. Have you heard about binary option industry. Affiliate programs mostly work on CPA deals and it is a lot higher than what you can make on Amazon. We are talking about $425 per sale.

  • I saw the last comment and that is something that I've tried- Affiliate program.
You have your own website, instagram or fb page with followers, you join affiliate program and you start promoting some brand and start earning per click or actual payments someone make.

If you want to earn more money, try binary options or forex trading.
There are programs like robotclicks.com and others that should provide this...simply google it

    • OP,

Your skill set might be just right for creating sites or prettying them.

Someone I know started a wedding dress bussines. Created a Wix site, was pleased with Wix site for 3 months, started to advertise, noticed that none of the bookings came from the site despite the money spent on driving people to it.

Someone quoted them $3900 ($2500 if paid cash) for a great wedding dress site optimized for 15 local keywords.

Someone quoted them $15000 and up, no SEO.

Someone quoted them $25000 for site and all online marketing for 1 year (seo, YouTube, Pinterest, instagram, Facebook, Google maps, etc.)

It would involve u finding businesses that have a wix site (some have wix and another site) and suggest you can make them more money by making them a site that converts better. U can learn a lot about conversion at www.kissmetrics.com.

U can skip talking to people all together if u create a site for Adsense and learn how to drive traffic to it. Adsense does not pay a lot but u don't interact with anyone.

The hard part? Getting enough traffic and have enough of it click on your links.

You could contact marketing agencies and offer your services to them. You would have to find the ones that are good at the marketing part but not at the coding part.

Many want inhouse people only, some do work with freelancers.

All of the above can be done fast.

  • There is no shortcut way to make money online. If you discuss with an IM expert, he will tell this same phrase. To make a quick income online, you can work on Fiverr, Upwork etc. Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, Google Adsense, Blogging etc all are long time money making procedure. Some people suggest you CPA marketing that makes $1000/day as a newbie but all of them are scams.

  • I'm very new here but I find this thread very needful of my opinions even though it's coming in late.

While I want to sympathize with you on the one hand, due to the fact that you are just recovering, then again, I am reminded that you have great skills that comes in handy to help you rescue you within the said time.

Here's what I think you need to do:

    1. Look for someone or a credit card company like someone suggested earlier, to borrow money from. Then you can pay back at an agreed date.

    2. Now understand that you are borrowing with the mind of having to pay back.

    3. I cannot guarantee you would make $1000 in 14days, but, I can bet you that there are opportunities online you can take advantage of that would pay off in the long run - say, 21-30days.

    4. With your skills, you can hop on to craiglist and search for someone in need of services that your skills can give them. I am very certain you would get someone within a week and earn anywhere around $300-$800.

    5. Fiverr happens to be very fast for me to get into. And with your skills, you can break them down into individual services that can be offered to people thereby earning you raw cash.

    6. Since you have $200 in the bank, If I were you, I would take $100 out of that money, and use it clickbank marketing. I can bet you, you would make anywhere around $200 within a week doing video targeted marketing.

Everything that I have pointed out above is no guarantee that you would make $1500 or so in 14 days but, If you take honest action, then you would be on your way to make your dreams come to pass.

These are just my opinions and I do hope you take action.

    God bless.

  • I am a newbie as well and not sure if I have a lot to add but here we go:

You seem to have a bunch of technical knowledge.

Can you sell it on line?

Are you able to put together a valuable course to sell any of your skills?
    - I'd have a condensed free course and a paid expanded course that has all the information (give it for free first and them give it for a fee)

    How to do it?
There are tons of different platforms and free training out there (do your research and see what appeals to you)

Go to Craigslist and barter: equipment, skills, anything else.
Personally I'd barter with an actor/director/performer to make sure that the delivery of the course is compelling, would barter for lights/camera/microphone (they don't need to be expensive)

Research WF, there is a ton of information about how to get JV and promotion.

Talk to people: ask questions to people that are in business in your network, they can be quite helpful and you can get free advice if you know how to ask.

Overall you have to think: high quality service/product at a fair price = value, proper promotion = sales

    Good luck

  • There are review sites that you can join and get money for taking surveys and reviewing things but you'd have do do this a lot as on some sites you only get £1 or less

  • Wouldnt be a miracle if he pulled it off but its tricky

I think some of you guys are too wrapped up in the "direct response" aspect

The reality is...he can just "flip" online..find hot products that sell well and move it both offline and online

    Thats just basic hustle....

Theres some variables like hoping someone buys everyday...which isnt always possible

But its not impossible either...maybe some of you guys have never been in that situation

But sometimes you can't rely on rationality and probability alone, sometimes you've just got to roll the dice and take a chance

    Otherwise you're certain to lose
  • I agree. I think for quick money. To Uber or lift driving You won't believe how much money you can make it and fast then reinvest reinvest in your online business

OP filed for chapter 11, meanwhile a 14 year old kid down the street made $870 mowing yards with a beat up old push mower he got for free on Craigslist.

    Damn the world isn't fair.
  • well the people who asks the questions dont seem to bother to reply or follow up

wonder if he started something and made some money ??

Lots of good advice in this thread though....

I kinda feel bad when guys who ask help never respond even though everyone is giving their best advice
