How are you tracking revenue from various sources?

Hello all,

I am in the process of setting the ground work to scale up my internet business and I'm struggling to create a "semi" automated system to track sales by source?

Free YouTube traffic has been GREAT, but, I will be investing in Google PPC, YouTube PAID Ads, and Facebook Ads (including re-targeting) and I'm not sure how to track revenue from these sources. I would appreciate any and all help and I want to give you an idea of my process flow...

YouTube
  1. Lead views video.
  2. Lead visits my site.
  3. Lead enters their e-mail.
  4. Lead receives an automated follow up.
  5. I send out offers on very specific days and times - I don't automate (use follow up sequence) to sell as it's proven 100% ineffective for my market.

Proposed Facebook Flow
  1. Lead views ad.
  2. Lead visits site.
  3. Lead opts in to receive a free piece of software.
  4. Software is delivered.
  5. Lead will receive follow up offers (asked to buy stuff later).

The FB Flow will be the same for Google PPC, and YouTube paid ads as well. Offering anything for free on YT and / or using that as a hook is not something I have done and given the avg earnings per subscriber, it doesn't make sense to change because they are "warmed up" by a video they love.

That being said, I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to track sales at the end of the funnel relative to the source inasmuch as I do not make an offer immediately. I'll e-mail offers later on...

Right now, things are simple, all sales are coming from YT traffic but it's time to ramp up and if I'm spending money on ads I need to know which sources are working so as to optimize / kill certain campaigns, pages, funnels, etc.

Any help you guys could offer would be appreciated.... Thanks!
