Why don't you look to yourself for your own success, rather than relying on handouts or other people to help you.

You've said it yourself, you've come to the biggest forum on the internet (about internet marketing). Why don't you invest your own time reading the sub forums (where all of your questions have already been answered numerous times). You're also asking the wrong questions. To make a comparison, it's like someone wanting to start a restaurant and then go to a restaurant forum and ask "what is good food? is there more ways to cook other than using a stove?"

While looking for mentors or "help" in internet marketing isn't a bad idea, it's generally best to ask for help about specific processes or situations, or finding a mentor for you to ask XYZ questions to.

Not only are your questions extremely general, it positions you as extremely lazy. Take your own advice and "invest your time" to learning the foundations first.

Otherwise, you're primed to be swindled by horrible "gooroos" on this forum, who prey on individuals like yourself who are non-informed.

Believe it or not no one is trying to be mean. But being an entrepreneur requires the ability to do a lot of research on your own. No matter what we tell you now things are in a constant state of change. If you need someone to guide you step by step on what to do you need to stick with a job.

Part of the problem is we have no idea what your skills are, what your interests are, or what you already know.

If you want to learn about affiliate marketing then type "affiliate marketing" into the search engine and read the threads. Then ask specific questions.

The same is true for "email marketing", "product creation" "Kindle" "freelancing".

With this type of question you're going to receive a lot of private messages offering to coach you. Don't fall for it.

Many people on this forum will be happy to help you answer specific questions. But we can't start from square one.

Internet marketing is a very broad field and would require you to dedicate a significant amount of time in order to fully grasp. What I would suggest you do is to first completely forget about 'making money online'. Go learn about the basics in SEO, affiliate marketing, blogging, driving traffic, etc. You can watch tutorials on Youtube, take online courses, read relevant material, etc. In your current situation, the most important thing is to first focus on understanding the basics of Internet Marketing.

Why would you join a forum where English is clearly the format used - and use the Hebrew version of your name rather than the English version? It causes problems when you thank someone, for example.

Yet your basic question was "what is affiliate marketing" - easily answered with a forum search or a google search.

Yes, there is a lot to read (or videos to watch if you prefer) - but it's the only way to learn. Start by describing your skills, what your goals are, etc. Do you have paypal? Do you have a site or blog? Do you have a domain and hosting?

What have you done so far to learn about IM? Do you have money to invest in tools and traffic, etc?

It is a commission based online business.

Pick a niche, Affiliate marketing, CPA Marketing- ( look it up), Website Flipping, Amazon Affiliate, the list goes on... Get some training, get the tools you need, and get busy!

Affiliate marketing is about earning commissions by selling other peoples products or services. Ask yourself what areas interest you. See if what interests you in everyday life has products for sale with affiliate commissions. Then learn how to market these products. You've got to put in the time to learn and take action. Don't just read and theorize all day. Learn about monetizing and give it a go, try your best and learn. Everyone starts at this point unless they had someone hold their hand in the beginning. Don't give up. Read and research then apply that. Keep at it.

Welcome to the forum, my advice is to take some time off and go through the forum and try to understand the various terminology and details around them.
You will not be able to just learn internet marketing overnight and although it is vast, you do not need to know it all. But it would be a good idea to get a broad idea of the internet marketing world. You can then choose to specialise in certain techniques according to your liking and potentials.

There are many ways to make money online so those starting out can easily get confused. Besides affiliate marketing, you can earn commissions through Pay Per Click, video marketing, creating your own product, social media marketing etc.
You have a job and I assume you want to make money online so that you can quit your job. Then you need a steady source of income while you learn Internet Marketing.
When I first started, I went to Craigslist and got an online job writing articles for a law firm in the US. They paid me $500 per month to write 2 articles a day for their blog. So that gave me a source of income while I learned about Internet Marketing.
I used the money from the writing job to invest in courses and learn how to make money online. The first things you will need to learn are the basics of buying a domain, hosting, autoresponders and starting a blog. It's best to start a blog on something that interests you like a hobby or something you know a lot about. That way, you will always have something to write about.
Then you can place Adsense ads on your blog and when anyone clicks on these ads, you earn a small commission. Also, you can become an affiliate for a product owner who has a product about the topic of your blog. You can ask for a copy of the product and give it an honest review in your blog.
Once you get your blog going, tell your friends online and offline to visit your blog and spread the word about it. Later, when you get a steady stream of visitors to your blog, you can start building a subscribers list. That means you give away a free gift (like a free ebook or ereport) in exchange for the visitor's email address.
