Is doing this making my website have too many repeated keywords?

Hi

I run a website that offers digital sound effects to download. I've 20,000 sound effects and list them all across the site, 10 per page... The exact phrase is repeated for all sounds.. "download all sound effects by [contributor name]"

Now considering I've almost 20,000 sound effects, and this exact phrase is repeated for all sounds, is this likely to be an issue in that the search engines see it has stuffing keywords? If i REMOVE IT i am worried that I'll lose traffic, however the site has been struggling a little recently so maybe removing that phrase is a good idea?

  • Stop Repeating The Same Keyword Over & Over Again.
  • create a download button image instead of text link

  • Make [contributor name] the clickable portion. You may still have quite a bit of repetition, but not as much as using the whole phrase.

Algorithms are getting smarter, both at spotting keyword stuffing and spotting the exceptions. If they weren't, would put many sites in the doghouse.
  • If you do too much keyword stuffing search engines may decrease the ranking of your page. Is there any sort of link building you could do?
  • Thanks for the reply. My license agreement states the user must credit the site when they use the content which builds links organically. I've Implemented your suggestion and haven't seen any issues in doing so, actually an increase in traffic so thank you JohnMcCabe
