First of all...the ONLY 'reliable' niche will be the one you already have a lot of interest, knowledge and even some passion in.

Can you imagine Batman and Robin (who are awesome crime fighters) going out and becoming lawyers because they heard it was more profitable?

    Doesn't that sound crazy?

Well that's what seems to be going on a lot in this industry with new marketers trying to pick a niche out of a hat.

Second...No secret or clever techniques. You will have to 'earn' your way to success and as you do that, certain 'strategies' will come to you...when you are ready.

It sounds like you have not chosen a niche you want to go into yet. People say the three big profitable niches are health, relationships and make money. Out of these, there are hundreds of sub-niches. Of course there are other small niches you can profit from, too. I heard of someone making good affiliate income selling a chicken coop making guide on Clickbank.

The thing is the same niche may be profitable to one but not to another marketer. So you have to pick your own niche. Don't be afraid to go into any of the three that I mentioned above especially if you have some specialized knowledge in any of them. Although they are highly competitive, if you choose the right sub-niche, you can still make money.

Traffic is another whole topic by itself. Again, one traffic source may be profitable to one but not to another. There's a lot of trial and error involved in traffic generation, so you must be prepared for that.

Social networking. Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon and Facebook are proven ways for sending traffic to your website. Because these are social networks/bookmarking sites you have to take the time to establish your social presence first (remember the key to social networking is to establish relationship first with groups of "like-minded" followers who want what you have. Once you've accomplished that you can begin to drip recommendations to visit your site. The above tips are just the tip of the iceberg on how to generate free website traffic.

Pick a niche....where you have a little know how....

Because You need to carve out a "coterie" so to speak...a specific group of people who will be a good fit for what you have

Your biggest expense is going to be lead acquisition so you want to find the most probable buyers

cause the more of them you can find the more money your likely to make

Otherwise you could end up spending time and money on people who arent gonna buy...

and speaking from experience, you dont want that(no sales, poor engagment, high unsubscribe etc)

So its easier and less time consuming when you already have an understanding of how a market works

But if you have time and dedication to learn a new market..it can work too

    Next thing

find out the best demographic for that market
(Age, gender, marital status, income etc)

    Geographic location
Where these people are found...(are they from the U.S...Canada...United kingdom)

    The "wants and whys"...
This is the thoughts and feelings of your market...

what problem do they have? (Bad skin? Bad teeth? Overweight? Financial difficulty? Etc)

    Why does this matter?

You need to get your prospects attention...

So much distraction and shortened attention span

likely you've got competition so you need to highlight how you can help them in a way others can't
Cause when you create your market communications...it needs to be relevant, otherwise it will be ignored

And your ability to attract new propsects

depends on how well you can explain the problem they have

And how your product or service is the ideal solution to the problem

A way to shortcut the process is to check out what the top dawgs in the market are doing

What selling points are they using?..which objections are they handling? What language are they using?

Its likely these businesses have spent alot of money and time finding out what works and what doesnt

So why are you gonna spend more time and money to get the same conclusion...

    Thats just dumb

Then the next thing you wanna do is identify all the benefits your product provide (give you a brighter, whiter smile?, Youthful looking skin?...increase your profits quickly? Etc)

List as many as you can for the thing you eventually decide to sell

Then you just build out a campaign based on the information

It might seem like abit of work upfront but this is 90 percent of the work

(Your headlines, body copy, follow up s...all your whole funnel will derive from this info)

So you owe it too yourself to make it good

The analytics and scaling is just common sense

And for now thats all you need is to get to work

You need to choose a niche to work within, but there are a few things to look for.

    > Enough people to make a living selling them things.
    > People with a passion to get something done. This typically falls into two categories.

The first is the so-called "desperate buyer" niches - people with an urgent, often embarrassing problem they want solved now. Examples include "anatomy enhancements", embarrassing or painful medical conditions, the "get your ex back" stalking manual that was popular a few years ago, etc.

The problem with niches like these are that they are basically "one and done" niches. Once you solve their problem, they no longer need you. You can sling some mud (additional problems) against the wall, but it's hard to make that second sale.

The second, and my favorite, are the "passion niches". Things like sports (golf, fishing), hobbies (collecting, scrapbooking) or pastimes (cooking, gardening). Things that people gladly spend money on over long periods of time, often a lot of money. Gain the trust of these people, and you can sell them things for years. And there are a lot of different things you can sell them, from physical products to courses and guides and other digital products.

    > People with money to spend. One thing that keeps coming up in the IM/MMO niches is a desire to target broke people. By definition, these people don't have money to buy expensive courses or monthly subscriptions.

As a newbie, you'll be doing yourself a favor is you keep it simple. The only decision your prospects should have to make is do they buy or not. Don't target people who have to decide to buy and then how to pay for it.

As for traffic, there is no real secret or trick, even though there's no shortage of products claiming there is. To get traffic, you meet your prospects where they already are, pique their curiosity with something of value to them, and offer them a way to satisfy that curiosity (your link or opt-in form). There are lots of ways to do that, and each has its own set of "rules" depending on the platform and your objective. Learn the fundamentals, and don't waste time on "ninja hacks" that only work for a short time, if they work at all.

    Good luck to you...

Choosing a profitable Niche/Market is important for sure. However equally important is that you choose something that you're interested/passionate about. (I know you have probably heard that about 100 times however it really does make a World of difference.)

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for over 16 years.

Below is basically how I do it. However, as you will see, I do things quite differently than most.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

Bottom line: it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

I drive traffic to the offers by acquiring 3rd party email data, which is data that the users have shown an interest in a specific vertical(niche) and have given permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record for every user and it's 100% can-spam compliant.

By acquiring data instead of buying traffic, I'm building assets that I then own and can market to over and over at very low cost. So I control and can drive traffic on-demand to the offers I'm promoting.

You can also acquire what is call rev-share data (revenue-sharing). Which is 3rd party data as I mentioned above, except you get it for $0 upfront costs. You then split the revenue generated from sending it, with the data provider. So you are only paying for data(leads) that convert. This is a way to start for those with tighter budgets.

So for example, if I'm getting data for life insurance, I then send a life insurance PPL offer. If I'm getting education data, I send an education PPL offer. So I'm just matching the vertical to a relevant PPL offer on the front-end. In addition, I'm always collecting my opens / clickers, segmenting and removing unresponsive users. So I'm essentially converting the data from quantity to quality and then cross promote offers on the back-end to the most responsive users.

Basically, I monetize the data using PPL offers because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions($$$) and converting the data into cash producing assets.

Obviously, there is more to it, but done right it can be extremely profitable. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, for the most part, does 6-7 figures. While that's a huge range, much comes down to one's ability to scale and effectively build / manage the infrastructure needed to scale.

    Something to think about.

    You dont need any secret.
    The niches are:

    Wealth
    Health
    Dating / Sex advice.

These are the most profitable niches.

BUT you have to narrow and find your sub niche where you propose a good product which supply a lack in the market.

And of course for driving traffic you have to focus on solo ads and fb ads if you have so little experience.

BUILD YOUR LIST around a topic, and nurture your leads and provide solutions. Instead of looking for secrets.

I think of health, wealth, etc as 'categories' rather than niches.

I don't think anyone can write a post that will immeditely educate you on 'how to choose a niche". There is no one approach but it's more than pinning the tail on the IM donkey.

I don't subscribe to the belief that your niche must be a "passion" of yours. I do think it must be a topic you have some interest in. Otherwise you will quickly become bored and stop working on it.

You need to find something you have an interest in and are willing to learn more about - then figure out if there is money to be made in the niche. Some niches are 'demand' niches and some are hobby niches where people are involved in the niche but spend little money on it.

Once you narrow down you list of "potential niches" you need to identify keywords and research the competition. Competition is fine but you need to determine whether you can carve out your own space in the niche - have a unique position to attract a following, etc.

It helps, too, if you can build a picture in your mind of WHO your target customer is. Never forget the 'niche' you are going to target is composed of real people. Solve their problems or fill their needs - and you have a profitable niche.

Unfortunately, I have never heard of such a thing. Most traffic must be
worked hard for - especially the free traffic. You can buy traffic, but you
still must sell, convince, earn trust, etc.

It depends on the geography you target. Say for US a site that gives information about public transport, traffic or share articles on weekend destinations will attract good traffic. Also, it will be important to have the website mobile ready or even better if you have an app.

According to the target region, you will be able to figure out the best way to attract audience to your site.

Your niche is really an important issue. You have selected a perfect niche, you have done almost half.
Always work with the single niche. Don't select multiple niches. If you select a single niche you can easily make your brand. People know you with your niche.
There are a lot of niches such as blogging, SEO, make money online, technology, health&fitness, personal development, finance, pet, animal and more.
You have many options. As you are a beginner, you have a little knowledge about anything. I suggest you select such a niche that you feel comfortable with it, you have a little knowledge about it, you can reach your target audience, your audience is looking for your niche related services, you have perfect option to make money with your niche.
When your niche fulfills all the above options then select that one.

You can find a niche you're passionate in, but that doesn't mean you will make tons of money. You can be passionate about it yet not an expert on it. It take years and years to become great. That goes for any industry.

For example, I can play the piano yet I can't write music. I could produce a beat, but then I can't mix it. I'm not a mixing engineer. A song needs to write, mix and master. And these are 3 completely diff field. I can't be all 3, it would take extraordinary talent. Since I neither write nor producer music, now I have to think of a way to get pay for what I love doing. And I love to play piano.

Musicians and producers hire mixing engineers and other people to play a part of their song the same way we hire copywriters. Everything is outsource no matter what industry you're in.

In the music industry, you do not even need to play your own instrument. One can just hire musicians. That's if one have the money. I don't have the money so I have to depend on my own talent, and if I did hire musicians, I would consider that as "cheating" because in the end I'm not the one creating the music. So it's worthless unless I was promoting an artist and we bring in multiple band player and make tons of money! And we're not even the ones producing the song. ha ha.

But anyway, that's how it's done. People cheat all the time just like internet marketing. They steal music and claim themselves as the producer when in fact they're only hiring ghost producers. In fact, that's how people get to the top in Hollywood.

In many cases, they bring in people with talent to play each part of the song because a single player cannot play every part. If you want to make it big in internet marketing that's what you have to do. You gotta bring in a team who has skills in copywriting, bringing the traffic, running the ads etc.. because one person alone cannot manage to do everything. So my advice to you is just do what you love and if it doesn't work out you can always find other ways to get pay for what you love doing. And yes, it's better if you build a team. That's my secret to you!

Like many others have said, you should be looking to choose a niche that you have a passion, knowledge or at least an interest in.

If your not sure then try the following:

When you look at magazines in a shop, then what magazines do you tend to look at first - Is there a pattern of interest?

Think of any time in your life were you have overcome a problem. Have you ever lost weight, overcome a fear, built muscle, got out of debt ect?

Is there a topic that you would like to learn? If so, then this will mean that you have at least an interest in the topic and maybe this could be a niche you could get involved in.

The big broad niches are: Technology, Wealth, Health, Relationships, Internet Marketing, Weight Loss.

Break each of them down to find a sub niche.

Once you decide on a niche, then never ever think that you know all there is to know about the niche.

    Always stay up to date!
