Questions regarding traditional media marketing

With IM its all about traffic and then converting into leads and sales..

I'm curious how it works with traditional media such as newspapers, magazines, flyers, brochures.

Can you take a media message and put it out there for lots of people in your neighborhood to see?

There's always the option of taking out an ad in a local newspaper (or a regional newspaper if the budget allows).

As for flyers, it depends on the business/products/services but you could distribute them at local shops to see if they would advertise them or leave them at the till for customers to take/look at.

    Hope this helps

Marketing is marketing no matter how you slice it. The delivery mechanism may be different in traditional media compared to online, but the same principles of targeting an audience, grabbing attention, presenting an offer, removing risk, asking for the sale, etc . . . still apply!

Tactics, strategies, and the details of the medium will undoubtedly be different for varying platforms . . . but the marketing principles are pretty similar across all media, IMO.
