Why Won't My D&^% Picture Show up?

Ok, I've spent an hour doing something that should have only taken about 3 minutes and it still doesn't work.

I'm trying to upload a .jpg file to my website.

I went into filezilla; uploaded the .jpg file into the images folder and exited out.

Then, I went to the web, put in the website address/images/filename.jpg

It tells me the file can't be found.

Can someone please tell me what the freak I'm doing wrong?

It's got to be something simple but I can't, for the life of me, figure it out.

HELP!!!!

Not sure, but make sure you haven't run out of allocated space on your server. If it's maxed out you won't be able to upload anything new. Also go into your cpanel and try uploading through the file manager and see if you can bypass the problem temporarily in that way.

Ok, I increased the space and also uploaded the file through my cpanel and still no luck. This is insane!

i've even tried it on different sites with no luck.

Would it be because I have wordpress installed on the sites? I wouldn't think that should matter but at this point I'm grasping for straws!

    Hi SoEasyMoney,

Your image folder is outside of your public_html folder. Upload it to a new image folder inside of public_html and you should be good to go. Let me know.

Another common error is to FTP in ASCII instead of Binary (many FTP programs also have a Auto function for file type)
