Help promoting web hosting affiliate program

I found an old post discussing how to call local businesses and help them with free websites if they sign up for web hosting (and get a commission). Does this method still work in 2017? Is there an updated way to do this now ?

It would be great to hear any recommendations on how to do this in 2017 via cold calling. I have a list.

I don't mind cold calling since that's my day job, but I want to make extra money on the weekend doing my own cold calling

    I just wanted to say I fully believe cold calling still works but you have to convince them to go online and signup through your link. Best bet would be to buy domain from godaddy,com and redirect them to your affiliate when you pitch them give them your domain. then you set up thier site for them.

    Hi, yes it still works to some degree if your using the host gator affiliate program it depends who your marketing to you may find some business owners already have host gator hosting remember to ask this first or you will be building websites for nothing.

    Have you considered getting your own reseller hosting account VPN etc?

    while it looks good n theory and you can make $50-$100 per sale what are you going to do once you have sold out?

    You may have to purchase domains to be a true full turnkey setup to get more sales which is going to cost money upfront.

    I have done both and for long term residual income I prefer to sell a full turnkey setup with 1 year hosting

    this gives me a better return control over my money and builds a long term business.

    Cold calling effective but now a days, most of the people have taken DND due to which you not able to reach all conversions. People use th search on Google more than call. So it would be good if you create a website and promote it to rank on 1st page of Google. It will cost you less than your cold calling.
