How many different copies of my article do I need

I want to submit a copy of an original article that I have on my blog to certain article directories. I have just manually signed up to the following article directories.

Go Articles
Article Alley
Articles base
Article Dashboard
Article Click
Bharat Bhasha
A1 Articles
Article City
Search Warp
Amazines
Article Depot
U Publish info

My question is would it be better to rewrite my original article 12 times and send a different copy to each directory or could I get away with say 4 rewrites and send the same copy to 3 of the directories.
I hope the above makes sense

Regards

Kim

    Hi Kim,

your question depends on what you are targeting.
If you want to rank in Google (I guess that is what you want), I would rewrite it 12 times and make all of them as unique as possible.

If you target the same keyword in all of those 12 articles and they are all pretty unique, in theory, you could rank for 12 spots!

Yes I am looking to rank in Google and am wondering whether it is worth purchasing an article spinner like magic article rewriter.
      Any thoughts

Instead of rewriting your article x number of times (which can takes quite a lot of your time) before submitting to various article directories, have you considered to just write another original article and then submit to the "biggest brother" of article directory, which is EzineArticles (as far as I know)?

Definitely post to Ezine Articles. Ezine will get you more traffic than all of the other directories combined.

    Good point Waihon.
    You are totaly right.

Before rewriting ALWAYS post it to EzineArticles first!

      Why?

If you simply use the original article for EzinesArticles and submit 11 more that are rewritten with 6 to 8 different titles, 6 to 8 different intro paragraphs/summaries does Ezines necessarily have to approve it first.
They still look for copies of the articles even if you submit later; especially if you mix up the authors in the other article directories.

I wouldn't rewrite it 12 times. I have found that if you submit to ezine then rewrite it and submit that rewritten article to all the other directories it works fine. To be honest the others are pretty crap anyway.

I think you have missed out EZA which brings decent traffic.
Yups, it is better if you can rewrite the articles for each direcotry - which will help you to gain backlinks from different content but for same niche . that will be useful rather getting backlinks from same content....

I would focus on posting your quality rewrites to eza and goarticles. For the rest of the sites, rewrite once and submit to all. 12 rewritten articles on EZA is better (imho) than 12 rewritten articles on low PR article submission sites.

Are there any disadvantages to submitting the exact same articles to all the sites? A lot of you suggest to submit to ezines first, but they take a hell long of a time to approve articles. So if I submit say 1 article to the top 5 categories at the same time, and the rest of the directories approve of my articles before ezine does, will I lose out in any way?

So what I gather from all of this that the first thing that I must do is submit the original to EZA then make a rewrite for my blog and one for Go Articles. I then make a few more rewrites and send them to the other article directories.
A question I have though is why should I send the original to EZA and not post it on my blog first?

      Regards

      Kim

Hey Kim, I think you'll find this blog post very interesting. Also to those who say to post on ezine first.

    Hey Kim,

You'll probably find that 100 article marketers will give you 100 different opinions on this. However, most (if not all) would agree with everyone above that ezine is the supreme article directory. It's worth the wait to get accepted there. Personally, I get waaaaay more traffic from my articles on ezine than all other article directories combined.

I agree with Peetred. Rewriting the same article 12 times so that each directory has a unique copy isn't the best use of time. Use the same rewrite in lower quality directories for a little link juice to your articles on ezine and goarticles.

So, anyone can answer my question regarding submitting to multiple directories? Are there any disadvantages/penalties/etc if my article gets approved at other directories before ezine? Assuming I submit the exact same copy of the article to the directories.

It seems this thread doesn't have a eye-catching enough title. I guess this would count as bumping the thread. If it's not allowed, please let me know.

If your writing solely for backlinks to your blog, I would just rewrite once using the same keyword as the article you posted to your blog. After this I don't really think it matters that your article is the same for all the different directories (as long as it's different from the blog content). Just make sure you use the same author name for the article on all the directories. Also, when you link back to your blog article, make sure the anchor text is the keyword you used for the article on your blog. This will help give you authority for that keyword. Doing this many times will help your blog get a higher PR.

If you want to discuss this in more detail you can PM if you like.

I appreciate all the posts here as I am new to article marketing and want to thank
kimkitch for listing a few places to submit to that I hadn't heard of and saving me a search. I have been using onlywire and articles base so far as well as posting to my blog to try to generate backlinks, but I see I could do much more, especially with ezines.
    thanks one and all

    Rocky

I believe srhudson hit it on the head. Just use these sites for generating ranking with Google. For traffic, just focus on the top 2 or 3 which is EZA & Goarticles. Check Alexa for that. I have tried various and it was not worth posting on all directories.

Yes of course you can rewrite your article in 12 times. And it's up to you how you are going to make it unique and sensible. But I suggest that you submit your original article to EzineArticle.

Ok so my strategy will be as follows

      1st article to ezine articles
      1st rewrite to my blog
      2nd rewrite to goarticles
1 spun copy to a free traffic website (which somebody on this forum pointed me too, which I am truly thankful)
make 10 more copies and distribute them via big mikes article bot.

If you want to find out more about the free traffic website that I am using please check out my sig below.

well that is my strategy, so is there anything that I have forgotten?

Obviously ezine is number 1 for article submissions. However, I have found scribd to be a great place to post my articles. I have gotten more views from scribd then ezine.
