Question about Google Keyword/Raw Searches

Hey guys,

I have a friend whose book I am going to help promote by some of the free IM tools I have learned about through here and the 30 Day Challenge. I have a question. I was searching for some keywords to use, and I found one that generates 6,600 monthly searches, and there are 52,000 websites that have that term (in quotes.)

Can I get some decent leverage with that? I am going to be continously searching for more and more ways to market it, as it is a VERY unusual niche, I just have to find a way to market it.

Thanks.

Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy

I'd check the competing domains age, PR, backlinks, etc., before deciding to try use that keyword. I use Market Samurai (they have a trial), but if you use Firefox then Searchenginequake (I think) gives similar info. Also if you're using Google's Adwords tool for the keywords I suggest cross checking the results with the SEObook or Wordtracker keyword tools, just do a search on Google and it's the top three.

Those are very good numbers. Now you need to determine the commercial intention of the keyword. http://adlab.msn.com/Online-Commerci...ntion/oci.aspx
