Any Good Software To Create Podcasts?

Hello all! =)

I'm planning on buying some pretty good DJ equipment soon, and then start releasing scheduled shows soon.

But to get the best impact, I'll need to be able to provide them as podcasts as well as online. (This is relevant to IM'ers as well, so I thought WF was a good place to post )

I'm looking for a good software that can create podcasts. Preferably a guide as well, about how to appear in searches on itunes etc.

Another feature I would love to see, would be the ability to change the title of the podcast inside it. (E.g. Showing the track name whenever I mix, so the listener/viewer can see which song it is)

Btw, I feel that marketing is actually one of the biggest aspects of how to become a well-known Dj/artist

If you rock at marketing, you only require 20% of the skill of someone else, to get 10x their success

Anyways, good replies will be very welcome!

Preben, one of the guys I look to for audio and video advice is Mike Stewart, a guy with 20+ years as an audio/video pro. All of his packages have Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio (around $55 on Amazon). I have this, and it does a nice job.

If you want pro-level stuff, go up to Sound Forge full edition (~$300).

I've also used Mixcraft, but it seems aimed more at musicians. Might be overkill for a simple podcast.

I've used Audacity (free, open source), but never spent a lot of time with it because Sony does enough to get me through.

    HTH
