ONE WAY List swaps? - Would JV Partners allow them?

Can Ad /List swaps to marketers with Big lists..... be done, where I promote my Free ebook product(Via a squeeze page) - But they Dont submit anything of theirs to my list -

ie- a One way List swap.

Reason being that my list is tiny (eg 23) and theres is 8000..... (made up values

Are Marketers usually up for this? (in the IM niche)
(My ebook would provide Valuable, and would most likely be of value to the list partner- and wont be rubbish

    Hi entry

yes it can be done with a small list though i think a minimum of 200 otherwise i would expect lots of rejections. The best way though is to offer them something of value so if you have an amazing product set up as a one time offer then offer the jv parter 75% from all jv sales and they will jump on board. I know this may seem like a lot of commission to lose but they are worth so much more on your list than a one time sale.

    kind regards

Not precisely as a list swap, no. That's not likely.

However, if the content is amazingly good, some will do it just based on that. Don't count on that as a strategy, though, as it's not going to be anything like common.

Now, if you have a process whereby the list owner can make money while promoting a useful free or paid product, that's an easier sell. Their affiliate links in the free product, for example, or a solid OTO with a proven conversion rate after the opt-in. That improves your odds a lot.

This stuff is all dependent on meeting the goals of the person you're approaching. What's in it for them and their subscribers?

I've also wondered about doing somthing like this to one of my smaller lists of one of my niches......to do this 1 way JV deal to my niches with a TINY list.

Whats in it for their subscribers?

the free report which they can put to use.......

How can i use the affiliate links VIA the particular JV partners to increase the incentive for them to Give the ebook to their list?

        In this made up example....
        Lets say:
MY list (in one of my mini niche) = 15 subscribers

        JV partner 1 list = 1200 subscribers
        JV Partner 2 list = 2500 subscribers
        Jv partnet 3 list = 6000 subscribers

(NB- the above is an example- I dont have 15 subscribers)
I want to sent the jv partners my Free ebook, in a ONE WAY JV list.... one way because i dont have any subscribers but want to tap into theirs....

how can i incentivice the ebook with affiliate links?

        - give some more creative suggestions on this please...

How about JV deals, if not adswaps (then again i have no $$ to offer) as it will be an offer of my ebook, but can Jv deals be based on this?

any more ideas on my request?

Hey, I think there`s something that might work.

              - You have to write a great, valuable, FREE ebook. Overdelivering is key.
              - In that report, have a list to your optin page. (and for people who subscribe, you give another free report of a great value)
              - Offer your free ebook for marketers who have lists, as content that they can give to their subscribers. Marketers need to give something downloadable for free once in a while, without asking to optin to another list, to get it.

I`ve done this, and it works great. not every marketer will accept this, but a few will for sure. If they don`t right away, you can do a content swap - they would give you their free ebook to give to your list on follow up.

This way you won`t be getting a flood of subscribers instantly, but if you have a few list owners to give your free ebook away to their subscribers, you will be getting consistent traffic for as long as they have your ebook in their follow up messages.

Entry, I think Paul Myers was clear enough and think you should reread his post. It comes down to this:
If you want something for nothing... that doesn't happen. Find out what THEY (potential JV Partners) want and offer that.
If you put THEIR affiliate links into your very good report - that might work.

yea, so my report, insert affilate links of that JV partner.... so when their subscribers read it, and some buy, this JV partner can get some money out of it... even though it will be a FREE ebook download to them (with me offereing nothing in return to them)-

so basically is a one way deal, me offering them an ebook with their affiliate links in(to their products)

I think alot of this can do with your relationship with the said potential JV partners as well, networking!

I know in the past I have JV'd just from networking alone and actually getting to know other marketers. Its the same offline. In a chamber of commerce for example, they keep everything within the walls and deals are done member to member because they have networked and build relationships with each other.

IM is similar, marketers work and JV with other marketers in some cases after hours of networking. Start building relationships as well and this will surely help!

Obviously not every JV is done through networking alone, but it is a great start and a great way of getting a foothold on the market!

On my List Swapper site (sig), I see people with small or no lists offering to pay for a one-way ad swaps. I'm not sure what kind of success they get from their offer but it may be something to think about if you're willing to spend a little.

Other than that Paul Myers' answer seems about right.

    Thanks,
