I have a highly engaged community and have netted close to 8,000 comments on my blog and still see 8 out of 10 comments like these - or worse LOL - landing in my spam queue daily.

The only guarantees these folks can make is that 99 of these comments out of 100 will make it to the spam folder

Spend 5 minutes reading a blog post and publishing an authentic, helpful comment. Effective, authentic blog commenting has opened some ridiculously fun and prospering opportunities for me and can do the same for you too. Be genuine. Be helpful. Comment to make friends. You'll be amazed at how many doors you open through blog commenting.

    I feel your pain man.

    That's why I moved to Disqus... it's not perfect, but it keeps 99% of the spam out.

    Deciding what was a spam comment from a real one became way too time-consuming.

    People who keep using stuff like 'shortcut' software's are only in it for the money and as sad as this may be...

    The farther away from the 'money' they'll be.

    I am using Disqus in my blog, it is automatically filtering the spam comments.

    cons with Disqus - Few time some good quality comments also moved to Spam, this will be more pain when using disqus.

    Of course I have found a few folks over the years who do offer a manuel service where they read the Content and post good, relevant material. Far and few between though

    I don't allow comments on my blog but I get the same type of messages via my contact form trying to sell me stuff. It was at the point where I was getting 10 or more a day and I finally put up a captcha. Best thing I ever did. Now I get one a week, if that.

        Disqus helps tremendously to cut down on spam. I still dig giving folks a link to their home page or an individual post, so keep my bespoke commenting system, but if things get bananas on spam I may switch to Disqus.

      It may happen in the beginning, and can feel frustrating, but I'd suggest publishing 2-3 paragraph, thoughtful comments on top blogs from your niche. This drives legit comments to my blog. Give. Get.

    Commenting is still helpful for all the bloggers. It helps to communicate with other bloggers.
    Especially the new bloggers try to make a connection with their influencers then the comment can be their best choice.
    They also build backlink by commenting.
    But spamming is a big problem, then you can select Disqus comment.

    Blog commenting has been so good to me. I have been at it for almost 10 years, leaving in-depth thoughts on top blogs. I advise all newbie bloggers to dive into effective commenting from day #1 to build their friend networks.
