Does anyone know how I can check exactly what product I sold on clickbank when all I have is the vendors ID?

Thanks

type "http://affiliateid.vendorid.hop.clickbank.net" in your browser and you'll go to the sales page.

There are a few ways to check this but my recommendation is to use the search on the marketplace and just type in the vendor id, this usually pulls up the product. You may have to use quotes.

No, mfleisch, this will NOT work.

    here's why:

Only ONE product per clickbank account makes it into the Clickbank marketplace.

Therefore, the product may simply NOT be in the CB marketplace -- there are probably more that ARE NOT than are -- simply by sheer mathematics. (there's at least 1 cb product for every cb account -- and sometimes there are more; in some cases, many more. Sometimes they are just upsells; sometimes not. But the upsells wouldn't be listed in the marketplace. One of my clients has 4 different products in 3 different cb accounts -- but only 3 will show up in the marketplace because they only have 3 different cb accounts.)

And the CB marketplace is a MESS.

CB really needs to clean it up. Not only do you get the weirdest things when you type in various topics -- many of the products have NOTHING to do with what you typed in -- the owners just want their product to be near the top in a category -- ANY category will do, it seems.

The search on the CB marketplace sucks, as well.

The reports in CB DO provide you with the vendor product number -- so, in addition to martin's advice, you may need to deal with putting in the product number to get the actual actual product, and not the primary account product.

I don't know how to assemble those hoplink URLs at the tip of my fingers, but you should be able to find out how to do that fairly easily on the CB site or other CB information sites.

zapseo... definitely agree with you. The CB search is really bad. That being said it looks like Martin's solution is the best.

Because there may be multiple products in an account (as stated) the only
way to know exactly is if you can match

        (1) the product number of the purchase
        with
        (2) the product number in the sales page order link
(use the link Martin supplied to get to the sales page)

You find (1) from the field Item number in your Transactions report

You find (2) by clicking through to the ClickBank order form and
looking at the item number in the browser , viz &item=
