Max Bid: ($) 0.28
Type: CPM
Impressions: 32,769 (over 5 days)
Clicks: 11
CTR (%): 0.03
Avg. CPC ($): 0.70
Avg. CPM ($): 0.23

    James,

Maybe your price is too high...:p

Maybe not...perhaps the ad isn't getting your message across. Sometimes it hard to see the value if you are not being asked to put any skin in the game.

32,000+ impressions would mean quite a few ad reworks for one of my adwords campaigns.

How often have you changed the ad?

    Joe,
I have not changed it at all yet ... I mean I am giving away a complete business with no stings attached ..lol Nothing to buy or anything (just supply your own hosting) ...

      Whelp, there you go...

You still have to sell things to give them away. That's just human nature. You know that.

Reword the ad to indicate extreme value for what they are getting.

Look at it this way...if I have an old refridgerator that I want to get rid of, and I put it out in my driveway with a sign that says "FREE Refridgerator - You Haul It Away", it will stay in my possession for weeks on end.

If I put a sign on it that says "Refridgerator $75", it will be stolen before nightfall.

It's all about the perception of value.

LOL ... Point taken joe ... It's amazing how hard it is to give something away ..lol I am not even requiring an "Opt-In"..

What surprises me even more facebook estimated 20,000 impressions per day on the target I selected.. Hmmm they a little off there.

  • I personally would stay away from facebook advertising. The vast majority of facebook users don't click on ads, they use it to network with their friends.

I actually got a few great customers from facebook.. Mind you not from advertising but from being apart of the community and interacting with others.

Not sure what part of facebook you are on but I have marketing messages on my wall all the time ...lol

      James,

Is this starting from scratch, or a continuation of the other numbers?

What you're looking for is a CTR of 1% or better. That will depend on the copy of your ad.

Why don't you PM me the before and after ad copy and let me look at it.

if your CTR was higher you would kill it on FB.

Have you tried a more sizzling headline? Eye grabbing image?

James, you left out the most important stat (yes, more important than CTR)...ROI.

This may be none of my business, but if you say you "don't even require and opt-in" then how are you monetizing the traffic. By the way you said they supply the hosting, it doesn't even sound like a hosting affiliate link.

So I don't see where you expect a return to justify spending any money on traffic. I know, that isn't the topic at hand, but I was just curious.

    Kathy,
I am not monetizing nothing, I do not deal with affiliate links... If you follow my post you would know I have given away far more then 2 domain names, websites + products and required nor got nothing in return. I would make no money at all from this...
