What is the best way to promote a life coaching program?

What I really want to know it's how someone with personal experience and a little recognition can position himself as a life coach?

What would you do if you were a starting life coach system?

If you nurture a tree in a bad ground it will grow (or die) and become weak. But if it's set to grow in the good ground it will grow healthy and strong. The idea is to prepare the ground of the tree so it can grow strong and healthy naturally in all the areas like business, relationships, happiness, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Are you creating your own product, system or are you trying to promote someone else's system?

The simplest strategy would be offering your insight for free via a self-hosted Wordpress blog, and then leveraging your presence through guest post and effective blog commenting.

Help folks for freemium and then they buy the premium.

My wife is a coach. She does it all through her blog, with some guest posts and interviews here and there. Clients and customers tell her they appreciate the helpful content she offers, and her responsiveness and engagement to reader comments, and subsequently hire her or buy her packaged courses.

Ditto for me. Help people. Solve their problems for free, via your blog, show off your insight, and folks will buy in, literally. Just be patient. This approach may take some time but once you build a solid foundation of sharing value and inspiring people, traffic, clients and customers will flow to you with increasing ease.

If you ask me, I'll never jump into this niche.

First, it is so competitive. Second, you have to bring jaw-dropping concepts consistently to get people's attention.

Of course, by publishing videos, you'll get fame. But, I'm not sure whether it will help your bank account.

If you want to earn money, get into some super niche, which has some physical products to promote - especially. Earn some money through it (passive), and sell it for thousands of dollar after a few months.

I know, the last paragraph doesn't answer your question, but I have never seen my any client in these kinds of niches. They are super successful, and no one is in these kinds of niches. Almost all of them are promoting Amazon products.

Personally, I would never get into this niche because I think it's a load of doo-doo. But, there are gullible people out there and people with money to waste.

So, with that said, the first thing I would do is identify what type of life coach you're going to be and who your target market is. Then, I'd identify your strengths as qualifications for being a life coach to determine what exactly you can offer. Lastly, I would find a successful life coach and reverse engineer how they're reaching clients and what message they're sending.

How do you think that Tony Robbins got so rich? An endless stream of people that believe they needed to be taught all of the obvious things they missed while growing up.

P.T. Barnum, said it best. (Although, actually, he didn't say it, first).

      Thank you.

And for every one Tony Robbins there are ten million people you've never heard of. Anyone can become rich if they have the money to buy infomercials and endorsements from high profile athletes and celebrities.

Please think about what you are saying. Let's say there are 10 people in the US that are in the upper 1% of 'life coaches - right behind Mr. Flimflam. According to your supposition, that would mean there are 100M life coaches we've never heard of, getting rich. If you subtract everyone over 18 in the US. that means that half of every other person in the US is a 'rich' life coach.

I would beg to differ. There is no one buying infomercials and getting celebrity endorsements, doing life coaching, that you have never heard of.

Even in the morning hours, common sense must be utilized.

          Thank you.

This is going to be a tough one. But you need to think of who needs/wants a life coach and where to find these people?
I think Facebook would be a good idea to start.

I forgot to ask - are you looking for paid or free traffic?

I have been working with a life coach in my city, what has become very clear is that she must focus on one or two RESULTS rather than marketing the life coaching itself. For example, one niche focus is the market of middle-age women who have had a career, then had children and now are looking to continue with their lives (personally and professionally). So we crafted an entire branding, product offering and sales funnel around this particular market.

With online marketing, it always comes down to narrowing your target market to a customer avatar and then designing the product and marketing around that particular niche.

      Not just online marketing.

"Life coaching" is one of those services that is tough to describe, and when those who do it from the perspective of someone who believes in it, it tends to sound pretty woo-woo.

Instead, focus on the end result. Your prospects have A, they want B. Your job is to show them how your coaching process is the best way for them to get from A to B.

Bottom line, don't sell the process. Sell the result.

I see people downing on the idea of life coaching.

    Don't listen to them.

In this day and age we need life coaches and life coaching.

Even in this industry we have millions and millions of people each year coming online into Internet Marketing (from the masses).

But there is a real problem...the average Mind can't handle freedom.

Do you ever see what goes on on the weekend when the masses are home for only 2 days freedom from their jobs?

    All hell breaks loose!

There are people fighting over parking spots at the grocery store, the police and ambulance are out on full force, people drinking getting drunk and even the emergency at the hospital is crazy busy on the weekends!

Success online can mean replacing your income entirely.

So in a nutshell...the average person (especially coming into this industry can not handle freedom and success).

Every single day here we have people who keep asking the same questions over and over but unfortunately most don't go out and 'implement' the answers that are given to them.

This industry requires the 'right' mindset to succeed and this starts with the marketer learning how to conduct themselves accordingly and respectively.

And judging by the lack of consistent action by 97% who come online...

Most folks are Sabotaging themselves over and over.

What happens to people who can't behave?

Well God, Universe, Higher Power...call it what you will IS in charge.

And if the average person does not want personal development (or MIND Training), they will never get the kind of results that they want in business and especially in life!

We keep hearing stories about people who get started (for years) and ending up lurking around this forum...some for even a decade.

    How do I know?

I was one guy who was on and off for many years but only until after reading (and digesting high doses of personal development) was when something finally kicked off (right inside my own mind).

This is when I finally anchored down and started working consistently.

    So are life coaches needed?

    Damn straight they are!

I suppose doing YT videos to get your face and voice circulated around and familiar to an audience would be one good initial way to go about it.

What have you personally done that you can talk about?

Whether you're talking about monetary success, weight loss, or healthy living -- make sure you've achieved your own goals before you start trying to help other people.

I don't believe the "fake it 'til you make it" mentality works in life coaching.

    But that's just my opinion.

I know this niche it's very VERY competitive and my the possibilities to start from scratch and grow big and profitable are pretty slim, and yet life coaches are needed today probably more than ever before, I'm just being realistic.

The thing is that I've paid to get a mentor to start running a business and the little tricks and techniques to run it felt dishonest and untrustworthy to my taste.

I was starting to see some results but back in my mind I had that voice of "you don't like what you're doing", "are you really like this?" So I decided to quit and start some other things that are more suited for me.

If I start a life coach business, (which I'd like to do) I would like to start with my story of how I went from the mindset of "getting money" to the mindset of "giving great service" to people.

My niche would be something like Self-Improvement » Mindset » Change the Focus from Money to Service. Or something like that.

Thanks for all the insights and suggestions, I really appreciate it!

    I
do not have a complete answer to your question.

But what I can and will tell you is that in order to position yourself as an authority in anything whether it is to do with personal development, health or wealth etc, you need to know and share what people like to know about the subject.

You can start off with forums like this one or Facebook groups.

Or even offline networking groups related to your niche.

Some will agree with you while others will disagree with you.

But what you need to is align with those who agree with you and build your own networking group from there.

Not sure if any of you guys agree or see what I see.

But that is how community groups are formed.

    And how leaders are made.

It is from there that you can position yourself as a life coach.

The same way Anthony Robbins does and -

The same way Eben Pagan does.

First of all Isandy ... congratulations on making the decision on becoming a life coach.

I wanna help you answering your question by telling you a short story about a guy who's charging $25,000 per hour.

The moment he told me that he's charging this huge number PER HOUR, I was like: "WTF..., are you serious?", and he said:"Yes, absolutely!"

Obviously, my next question was how in the hell can you charge so much?

His answer:"Because I've proven my skills and knowledge multiple times to enough people".

I've asked him how he got there, and here's what he said... and Isandy , you can apply his answer to your business too.

He said:"I started offering my help to a certain amount of people for free. When you have no credibility or testimonials from people who worked with you, it becomes really really tough, if not impossible to make really good living from a life coaching business. That's how I started, I started working with 10 people for free for 2 weeks, helped them overcome their struggles, problems etc, the only 2 things I told them upfront I want in exchange for my help are:

    1) An honest testimonial of working with me
    2) I want 3 referrals who might be interested in my help too

When the time of 2 weeks was over, I asked them in exchange for the 2 things above, plus, after they gave me the testimonial and the referrals, I've asked them if they'd like to keep working with me... a few said yes, and the rest said no.
    "

But the true power of this concept is because you leverage referrals and you use the power of social proof. A person is much more willing to enroll into your coaching program when a prior person they already know, gave you a testimonial about the results he achieved by working with you.

    Hope this helps.

That no one has ever heard of. Amazing!!!

Additionally, anyone that can afford to pay a 'life coach' $25,000 an hour, doesn't need one! He/she needs to become one.

    Hey,

I believe the best way to promote life coaching program is to reach out to our target audience directly. You can do this my doing email marketing and SMS marketing.

SMS marketing can be more helpful as it has much more open rates as compared to email marketing. Nonetheless, you can give both a try and see which one works the best for you.

I am attaching some source where you can learn more about them.
