It depends on what your strengths are. What might work for one person won't work for another. There's many different routes you can go. Offer writing, graphic design or other freelance services. Become an affiliate marketer and sell other peoples products. Learn social media and marketing and run small businesses advertising. Document your journey from beginner to online marketer extraordinaire.

All routes require patience, determination and hard work.

1. Become knowledgeable in a certain niche
2. Build a blog in that niche
3. Write one post per week
4. Reach out to existing bloggers in your niche and ask them to share your post in social media.
5. Answer questions related to your niche on Quora (linking back to your blog where appropriate).
6. Google '[your niche] write for us' and apply for guest posting opportunities.
7. Continue to write one post per week.
8. Install some form of lead capture on your blog (Thrive leads is awesome).
9. Build your list.
10. Send an email to your list every time you write a new post.
11. Start including affiliate links in your posts/emails.
12. Rinse and repeat.

Over time, visitors will begin to rise and eventually you will have a full time income IF you offer enough value in your posts.

As a beginner, start with something you already have little experience in or you are confident enough that you can do this. In my opinion, you can start with writing reviews or you can create a YouTube channel and start Reviewing marketplace products. You can ask for a review copy or you can make a review on their sales page. Besides, you can get ideas from other sources reviews on the same product. And you can post your own opinion after researching. I am not sure if this idea seems not doable to you, but this is so effective. Thus you can build your own audience and then plan for next things.

To get started you can start selling your used items on eBay and Amazon then purchase wholesale and continue to sell. You should also find a niche you enjoy start blogging, build an email list, use social media and drive traffic.

If I would have to start all over again,

I would start with Drop shipping using Shopify and Aliexpress. This is by far the easiest & fastest way to make money online right now.

When I started Kindle publishing was amazing but things have changed.

Someone could get to $5000 per month really quickly even without much experience in online marketing with drop shipping.

Another thing you could to is offer a service...But you would exchange your time for money, which is not good
