I have some questions about making apps and games

I have some ideas about making Android apps and games. This also applies to I OS as well. I have some game ideas that I think would do very well. The thing is I really don't know about how to do this.

I haven't any skills at all making games, but I do have some great ideas. I also don't really have deep pockets for any help, but I do need the help to make them.

How should I go about doing making this all happen? Good honest advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

You are basically going to have to form a partnership with a programmer. Or hire one. Start looking on upwork and freelancer.

You should also copyright your ideas. I have no idea how to do that so I would seek advice from a copyright attorney

The only thing you say different than what I said was to hire a "Pakistani" My thought was to hire a qualified programmer. And, they can be found all over the world and not just in Pakistan. And like I said. Copyright or you might end up getting screwed

I did this with desktop software once. I simply surfed the web, find a guy who seemed like a good programmer and a good dude, and asked if he wanted to partner with me. Told him he'd build the software and I'd market and sell it, and we'd split the money 50/50. That way I was able to have the program I wanted without any up front costs.

Having said that, with hindsight I know I'd have made a LOT more money had I just hired a programmer outright. That was my first software program though, and I didn't have any idea how it would sell, so I chose to play it safe from a financial risk standpoint.

No regrets - I still made a good deal of money from it.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

    Ok, so basically,

    1. Copyright my idea
    2. Hire a programmer.

Is $3,000 cheap, or should I aim for more?

You haven't given any information about your idea so no-one can advise for costs. You stated 'games' and 'ideas' too - plurals which tell us have more than one, so each will have its own requirements.

A programmer is only of use to assign instructions to graphical assets which are created by a graphic design professional who, in turn, usually needs to closely collaborate with the programmer.

A comprehensive game could see up to $20k being spent on assets alone.

I suggest you look further into the matter by searching for appropriate information outside of the forum.

Well, here's an idea that may get people interested. Perhaps I could study a little about design, and make a rough draft game. Find people who may be interested, and then show them my rough draft demo. I'm a quick learner, but I'm not trying to say that I'm going to become an expert within a week.

As for the game, it's a 2-D side scrolling adventure. That's all I'm going to say. In fact I have dozens of game ideas.

    Go to upwork.

    1. Post your job listing and give them examples of what exactly u want.
    2. Ppl will provide quotes.
    3. Choose the one with good ratings.
    4. Wait for work to be done

Like someone said above, Creating a game app can cost u anywhere between $1000 to $20000.

My suggestion for u will be to learn android studio and buy similar app codes from chupamobile or codecanyon and put the apps on playstore. Once u have money, u can outsource the work or even hire a full time developer.

There's a nice piece of software out there called buildbox. It's pricey but they were offering a months free trial. I've used it myself and it's pretty easy to use. Quite a few successful games have been made using it.
