Hi there, folks. New guy looking for some help.

Hi there! Name's Steve, and I'm a new guy who joined not that long ago. I'm posting this thread because I'm kind of in a jam here, and I could really use some help.

Okay, so long story short, I'm an aspiring work-at-home guy essentially got my start in affiliate programs-namely Amazon Associates, and that's where I originally planned on building up income first, though I've always considered expanding my repertoire eventually, and am willing to do so even at an early stage.

Here's my main issue, though: I'm rather short on cash and I don't have a "normal" job right now(in fact, not for quite a few years, and my prospects for having one are pretty grim at this point, sadly.), so I need some help from you guys.

Can anybody help me track down some programs, ebooks, etc., that are known to work rather well(preferably staying within this site), but are also inexpensive to acquire(preferably less than $20)? It doesn't have to be related to affiliate marketing per se, as I am, as I've stated earlier, open to other options as well.

Really, I'm not necessarily worried about having full-time income just yet; all I really need in the nearest term is just enough to get me a little bit extra money to spend while I'm still in college. Thanks in advance!

-Steve L.

Whatever stuff you buy, you will need money to implement that stuff (which u don't have) or else, u will have to do all the work manually and hope for success . Again, there is no guarantee if I tell u a $20 product, it may work or may not work for u because again, testing and implementing the stuff takes time as well as investment.
You are in a tricky position my friend. Maybe some other warrior can let u know some $20 product which might work. I don't buy much from here so cannot really recommend something.

    All the best though.

There are thousands of methods and blueprints and plans you can get cheap or free. Whether they work well or at all will depend on you.

Here's a freebie from a guy that knows what he's talking about:

Personally, I think you would be best served by getting a part-time job while you are in college, working hard to learn a skill (whatever your major), and studying Internet marketing in your spare time. It takes time to learn the basics, lay a foundation for your business, and figure out how to sell online.

If you're just starting out and have no money, it will take you some time to get any money through your online efforts - money to keep you going will come in faster with a job, even a minimum wage job, than trying to get a new business started on a shoestring online.

People will tell you about all the easy money to be made online - yet they themselves aren't doing it. Profitable online business takes some money, some time, and a good education in IM . . . right now you don't have any of that. Get a menial job, save your money, graduate from college so you are employable (I realize there is no guarantee about that) and then come back to your entrepreneur dreams when you're in a better position.

    The best to you,

    Steve

This is NOT typical warrior forum advice but here goes anyways. You can make a little extra cash by watching ads on your phone and laptop. There are lots of companies out there that let you do this, Most will let you get cash in paypal but they also pay in gift cards.
    swagbucks,
    fronto (phone only),
    Perk,
    Grab Points,
    irazoo.
    inbox dollars

Plus these, they run automatically on your phone and dont pay a lot
    smore,
    mobile performance
    slidejoy.
    screenpay

They call those lock screen ads and they are also phone only. Actually fronto and perk are lockscreens but they let you watch ads for points and cash also.Perks lockscreen lets you monitor the news. Grab points just created a new lockscreen app as well.

You can run these while you are studying on the side.

The trick to get more cash and even a side income with this stuff is to recruit affiliates under you in each and you can do this for free with a blogger blog (yeah its not blogger anymore its blogspot). and then study how to get traffic to your blog like the other guy told you to do (search youtube there is tons of tutorials on there). If you want to see examples of people doing this you'll probably get back a bunch of sites when you search for the company itself to join. Heres a search I put in that brought up a lot sites trying to recruit for these companies. "make money by running this on your phone" So thats something to set up. The guys promoting this on youtube are doing great it seems you might try doing video's too to promote the sites if thats your thing. Just look around and see what everyone else is doing.

I saw one woman pay off all her debts (50,000 or more) doing surveys which you can jump into but that takes some time up that you might not have. You want surveys that pay cash like harris poll. But another part of the above progams I mentioned is doing surveys for extra points. That might be more then you need even at that but you can do a few here and there to cash out.

Once you get that going and your sending traffic to it and getting sign ups under you then set up another blogger just to get going selling something else.

If you want an education in affiliate selling, and selling your own products then you need to join something like resell rights weekly. Their free option is pretty amazing but for $1 you can get the paid membership for a month. Just educate yourself on how to sell resell rights stuff by rebranding it. Advertising and traffic (by traffic I mean people coming to your site to look at what you got) stuff sells best if you are selling to the IM Crowd....

How to sell to the IM crowd besides putting something in your signature here and on other IM forums and then participating you can go to a little known area called safelists. Contrary to many peoples opinion they work but you just need to send out A LOT of ads. This area is a genre all to itself. There are all kinds of advertising sites that give free ads out. And all you have to do is join free 'traffic exchanges' and surf on there for a little while say 100 clicks and you'll find hundreds of free list building programs (which are even better then safelists to join) and text ad exchanges. If you don't know what I'm talking about with this terminology just google it.

Before joining any of these programs I'm mentioning here take out a few gmail accounts first to hold all the emails they will start sending to you. With listbuilders and safelists and text ad exchanges you will need to click ads to get points to mail out from their sites. The mails will come in these gmail accounts which you will use to sign up to these programs. Its mindless work. In order to not get overwelmed with the ads in the gmail accounts search or go on you tube to see how to set up google to automatically put each sites emails in its own folder. Google Barbie Zabel she has a whole free tutorial on this topic.

So thats about that. It will get you some income if thats what you want the brainless way. Try it if you want and then when you have some cash you can build a wordpress site and get a domain name and brand yourself like most warriors do. Make your own product etc. Thats what you want to shoot for.

I don't neccessarily agree with Steve I don't think a job will help you just take away from the limited time you have now. You can do what I'm suggesting anytime from your dorm room and not run to and fro off campus which will just distract you from your studies. And a job needs you to have a car which I don't know that you have.

On a final note just let me say ,,, if you would listen to some of these warriors you'll never get started unless you have a rich uncle. Thats just not true. We all do something to get extra cash first and then move forward from there and I'm not afraid to share some of the tricks of doing that.

If you want the job route and you DO want to run around try these gig apps.

    Task Rabbit
    We Go Look
    Agent Anything (college students only)
    DoorDash
    Postmates
    Instacart

Join The War Room here in the WF. Used to be $20 but whatever it is now it'll be cheaper in the long run because there are good people giving away a ton of valuable info in there.

Sorry Fred. I strongly disagree. To the OP, Steve_1990. You are in college, with very little cash to invest, and I would think, not all that much time.

IM is not for you at this time. IF there were such a thing as you asked for, don't you think thousands of people would be doing it?

Every single thing, including surrendering your phone, or car, or forehead even, comes with some strings attached. Those strings are either time or money.

They can't be cut. You don't have any money, joining the War Room (which, is as we speak being modified) would only lead you into a rabbit hole which would require one of those 2 strings to follow along.

Since you are in a tight spot, focus on getting out of that in a realistic way, job or something on campus, and not with the IM art of magical realism.

GordonJ, that's the second time you've shunned my advice today. Hot damned... I'm getting a following!

    Op asked...

Uh? Unless I'm super baked - which I'm not at the moment - that's what I attempted to do. And... Looky here Mr.GJ, it was a 'suggestion' and guess what... I'm pretty sure the op can make the decision whether or not my suggestion, your suggestion or any other members suggestion is right for them - whether you strongly disagree or not.

Had someone told me to 'get a job' when I was in my 20's I'd have never built a business that lets me live how I can today. I'm far from the super wealthy - but I don't have to go to work for a long long time :0)

Now, I'm not saying don't get a job. Maybe that's what the op needs. I simply answered his question.

Get a job man! There is no book that you will read that just will magically give you guaranteed income strategies.

What ever you are studying will lead to some kind of career right?

Is there one magic bullet book that you can read and start making money with that college career?

    Nope!!

The same laws of success apply on IM...Education, training, skills and then you will have to work for your money right?

Same story for Internet Marketing Success.

And it doesn't matter if you are trying to make $10 or $10,000.

There are no shortcuts, secrets or tricks.
