Free Platforms to Advertise for Free Traffic

I have never recommended nor used article directories (except EZA under very specific limited conditions and strategies).

It is amazing to me that the Warrior Forum has always been the only place where article marketing or syndication was so zealously promoted to manipulate the search engines using article directories, and still seems to maintain this context of an otherwise time-proven and extremely powerful technique.

I've commented almost since its inception here on the forum against using such a deeply flawed marketing model; using article directories to specifically manipulate Google. It has only caused untold numbers of failure, except of course for the few who built their fortunes selling systems and services to the naive and gullible here.

Actually, there are virtually unlimited online/offline publications that can be harnessed for directly driving massive quantities of highly targeted traffic. Besides, Google is really not your friend in the SEO arena, especially for the most lucrative niches.

Most of my brand new MLM recruits are absolutely crushing it on the leader boards, often within 90 days, simply by using article syndication. It really does not take many articles at all when they are widely and strategically distributed.

For any given commercially viable niche, there are thousands and perhaps tens of thousands of relevant online/offline publications suitable for article syndication. An excellent tutorial as well as a few starter sources can be found in the current issue of "Writers' Market".

I will have to agree. It takes time to write articles that are quality and unique and then spend time contacting relevant sites and talking with the owners...it can be a long term headache

Of course as myob points out it can still be very effective.

For me, Facebook would fit into what the OP is asking.
