What do you enjoy doing, what are you good at?

Take your skills or hobbies and teach complete newbies how to get to the level you're at. Or build an email list who are into the same thing as you, and promote products to it.

Think about how you can add value.

Age doesn't matter, do what works.
Unfortunately it's too vague of a question to really answer. What are you interested in?

Just so you know, passive income doesn't exist in internet marketing.

True passive income means that you don't do any work in order to receive the income.

Internet marketing requires work if you want to succeed.

Your age really doesn't matter. Personally, I think that everyone shouldn't get too caught up in what they are going to promote and learn to drive traffic and build email lists. If you can master those skills, then what you promote is far less important. That's how I became so successful at it.

Good for you. Gosh when I was 18 I barely knew how to zip down my zipper ( for peeing purposes folks, keeping it pg ) Let along thinking aobut starting my own biz.

Wouldn't hurt to hang around here and absorb info. and insight
from some of the people who have been there and done that

    That's what I did

    Great ambition.

Look through a few of the threads and topics, then use the
"Search" function to see what is being said about whatever
it is that you are interested in.

Then come back and ask a few specific questions.

There are a lot of things that you can do. The trick (if there is one)
is to find the method that best suits you.

    Hi PY,

    Follow your passion dude.

Get super duper clear on what you are most passionate about, because that passionate energy is fuel for your journey.

Then tie the passion into some pressing problem folks have, or, some idea to empower them to live their dreams.

Example; I am passionate about blogging, and saw an issue of folks having a tough time finding and using smart blogging tips, so I tied my passion to a problem, and built a business, rendered service, and do this bit full time, as a pro blogger.

Think of this idea: money responds really well to someone who follows their passion and spends years practicing their skills, to get really really really good at solving problems, and who solves problems generously, for free, at least for a while, as they get clear on setting up income streams which they also feel passionate working.

I've made close to $3000 from 22 posts on SteemIt so far.

The thing is there is a HUGE learning curve. You have to know how the Steem blockchain works, how to turn your Steem or SBD (Steem Backed Dollars) into Bitcoin.

Then if you want to turn your crypto into fiat currency (US dollar, British Pound Sterling, Euro, etc), that's a whole other process.

If u can master it, it's a great way to earn money and you can earn LOTS!

Yes. Use the Internet to invest in dividend-paying stocks or mutual funds. Maybe use the net to buy an annuity. If you're in the USA, think about US Savings Bonds.

Otherwise, remove the word "passive" from your question. You'll see a lot of hype around systems that claim you can open your laptop, spend a few minutes tapping out an email, and call it a day. If you do things right, and have a bit of luck, you can have days like that. Eventually.

But there is work involved getting to that point. But no one can say that the work involved can't be fun, too.

Heres all you need to do to make money in this business.

    1.) Pick/generate a hot converting offer

2.) Stick with that offer until you make it successful.

3.) Drive traffic (blog, videomarketing, paid traffic....) to a squeeze page and build your list.

4.) Build relationship with that list, market to it, share helpful tips and focus on 80% value 20% promotions.

5.) Take profits, reinvest, scale up

    Thats it!!

Make it simple and don't complicate too much...

You can master process or outsource anything (copywriting, webinars, technical stuff) you hate doing along the way.

    youtube channels

and search the forum for these intricate details.

Literaly there are kids making millions just off youtube alone. One kid i talked to is 19 and has a management staff, pr staff, and does little reality sketches, and within 1 month was making 100,000 US D per month.

He claims that if he puts up a bad video, he makes a few grand, but a video that goes viral can make him anywhere from $10,000 all the way up to 80,000 USD, I am not sure if he is just pulling my middle stump. LOL.... but when I saw the channel, he did have to get it going for 1 or so years before it gained traction.

I am sure YOUTUBE is not as easy as it was. However, do not let that hold you back you are very young and the world can have the world as your oyster if you do things right.

I'm not going to make friends here , but I would suggest you to stay away from the ¨ do what you love¨ philosophy....

A LOT OF PEOPLE decide to do that they love and they end up BROKE.

The market doesn't give **** about what you love. The only thing that matters in the end is if you fulfill a need from the market.

For example one of my business is a drop shipping business. Do I absolutely love what I'm doing really? Not really to be honest....but do I love the fact that I'm making easily $1k- 2k profit per day with it? Absolutely!

This is especially true if you are just starting out....You want to make money, QUICKLY. After you make 5k per month, you can decide to do what you love...Don't do the opposite.

In an ideal world, there would be some intersection between "do what you love" and "show me the money."

This is much easier if a lot of other people love the same things you do. Which is where a lot of people go wrong.

Take your drop shipping example. I've been an avid angler for over five decades, and I love checking out all the new gear. So do lots of other people (millions, according to industry stats). So I could probably combine drop shipping and fishing to do an online tackle shop, and promote by telling fish stories, doing offsite reviews, etc.

On the other hand, someone who just loves pornographic tea cozies might have a much harder time. Or someone into underwater basket weaving.

I do think that, for beginners at least, looking for that intersection of something you love and something people will pay for ups the odds of success.

My take is that "do what you love" is decent advice, it's just incomplete.

haha! "I'm not going to make friends here , but....". i think you told it how it is realistically. i think when people say do what ya love to do, they are referring to keep doing what they love to do and try to incorporate making money from it. what i think you are saying is that the making money part of the process is sometimes not fun or enjoyable. it takes time and work.

if i was 18 right now, i would definitely start with a blog and blog about my daily life....from the small stuff to the big stuff, and most importantly the embarrassing stuff. i would create a facebook page and link my blog posts to it. i would create a youtube channel and link my fb page to it. i would post to my blog once a day, post to my fb page 2-3 times a week with original content to recap the things that were posted on the blog. i would create a 3-5 minute video on youtube once a week that said everything you wrote on your blog and fb page. from there, i would learn a little on page seo to get organic visitors to your blog, fb page, and youtube channel. ofcourse, you would tell everyone about your fb page and blog youtube channel so they like your page and subscribe to your blog and youtube channel.

this would be your foundation and only takes a month at the most to set up and get your content up.

from there, it's just about making money from it. a lot of people will just start sending people their affiliate links to stuff. that's wrong. focus on what YOU like and what YOU enjoy and whatYOU need and sign up to affiliate programs. that can promote those things.

for example. have zit problems that ya posted about and showed people embarrassingly on youtube? promote a product with your affiliate link from clickbank or amazon and get paid for it. got presents for your birthday or christmas? do an unboxing on youtube and review it and post your affiliate link for the same product on amazon and get paid for it.

after a year or so when you'r'e 19, you will want to start building a list and focus on 1 niche which means a whole new blog, fb page and youtube channel. you will eventually want to learn how to write a 5 page report, squeeze pages and email marketing.

this would be what i would start doing and practicing if i was 18 right now. start small and grow. i hated school and i hated my jobs.....that's why i quit it all to become an internet marketer 15 years ago. i started with building websites and seo. i would do it all different today though.....

Take a small portion from each paycheck that you get, and invest it into your internet business. It's cheap to start and find niche/product, so most of the money will be going towards advertising and costs of running the business. Just get the simple stuff done 1st such as website, autoresponder, automation processes, backend products, etc. You can do all of this with less than $100.

For an 18 year old...the same rules apply to all ages. Here is 3 Steps:

1- Pick a product that resonates with you and stick to this one idea.

2- Pick (1) marketing strategy that is a good match for your personality type, learn it. Master it!

3- Follow through with daily consistent action (implementing that 1 marketing strategy) for the next 3 months to a full year.

Lastly...Making Money Online is not passive income.

    That is just a myth!

Success online is Pro Active not passive.

You should start building an email list in the niche that you are most passionate about.

All you need to get started is an email marketing software, landing page solution and some affiliate offers that you can promote from ClickBank.

Then all you have to do is drive traffic to your landing page and start building your list.

The passive income part will come in if you're willing to put in the work and fill up your autoresponder with at least 30 emails.

This is what I do and all you really have to worry about is sending traffic to your landing pages so that you can collect emails.
