hardly the worst I have read (thats usually in the SEO section which most professional SEOs here have abandoned for the most part) because later he does get into Latent Semantic Indexing and writing for readers not search engines.

at any rate whether a writer has a site offline for awhile or not says nothing in particular.

we might not agree with everything posted but we can encourage the effort by Gabriel to engage rather than just post random articles.

Maybe the designers site is down for rehab?

Seriously, that's not a good article and failed from the start with the subject (keyword density). It's pretty much all filler. I hope WF at least got paid for the link/reference to the site that's down.

Keep in mind noobs assume that's worthwhile, I mean the whole thing is based on learning. Lets learn, but lets at least let folks learn something useful instead of rehashing bad forum subjects.

THIS IS A FORUM, not an article directory. Right now you're locking down bad articles and not allowing any participation. I have opinions that need to be posted.

You want solutions, well good, lets see where it goes.

Look at your situation. You inherited a website that's hemorrhaging traffic/money. I'm not sure how much freedom you have with the site, maybe someone is holding you back or limiting what you can do? Anyways, I think you need to fallback and take this place a little more seriously than anyone else has since the buyout.

Lets move on past the low quality stuff. It's had its heyday, it's over. Seriously, none of the past two admins kept notes? They already tried articles. This is round three.

Give people a reason to want to be here and keep coming back. You know how that's done? Participation, that's how you hook traffic. Ask a question, get an answer. You can't have some unknown people writing articles and not participating let alone not even be a forum member except to junk up the forum with a sales pitch (WAMA, anyone?). Those types of people are in and out long enough to pimp a link to some optin form on their latest scheme. nobody remembers them, nobody comes back to this forum for those people because they're history.

...and stop targeting 3rd world traffic like it's the new frontier. It's not.

The takeaway here is, spammy is out, quality is in. Be known for quality. Go talk to Collis at Envato, he's not far from you. He did good for himself, setup a strict system to weed out junk content/sellers.

Lets Warrior Forum 2.0 this mofo.

BTW, I got your PM, size large on the hoodie. Thanks.

            Your attitude it's mind blowing.

I love how you make statements without even knowing the background .

            I have 2 options here:
to keep feeding you so you keep ranting.... about the past... about what people did... about what you hate....

or move on doing what I'm here to do.

So I'm taking the decision of moving with option 2.

Okay but lets clear the air here.

With Google's domination of search SEO is mostly about a secret algo hid away in the bowels of their corporate office. Learners FIRST have to learn that there is going to be a diversity of opinions because all is not known and therefore they need to read multiple writers.

I am with you on keyword density as there is not a whole lot of proof that any percentage has to be maintained (LSI is actually counter to the idea since it looks at all kinds of related words) BUT if you have been a SEO for long its just the nature of things to read things from otherwise good SEOs that don't line up on everything. I don't know whether the author is good or bad based on just one post but making a point about his site being down or in maintenance makes no logical point toward that either way.

After the keyword density there was a good amount of decent points and yep it beats the pants off of the link spam and five year old and out of date "SEO" posted in the SEO forum every day - so I am cutting it some slack and grading on a curve.

Gabriel will you guys have podcasts that focus on mobile marketing? Well more exact, selling ebooks to 90% mobile users. I know mobile marketing works. I buy stuff from my Walmart app every 2 weeks. But do you think people will download a 300+ page course and bonuses on their phone, and read it all and complete recommended tasks lists on their phone?

Not impressed with the articles though they are better than the last round of articles warriorforum.com posted.

    I wonder why the topics?

My suggestion: look at questions that come up often, read the amazing array of downright wrong advice, get 'correct' articles written that address those problems.

For instance: one of the most asked questions is: how do I drive traffic to my site? and its variant: How do I drive traffic to my site with SEO.

Invariably, it ends being a bunch of people suggesting:
article submission (the really 'enthusiastic' ones include a list of site that includes squidoo.com and goarticles.com and a few others that stopped existing a while back).

    or

do onpage optimization and offpage optimization.

So, you have clueless people and I don't even know how to call the second group. Tautologists?

More interesting topic for many people would have been: ways to get backlinks, where your writer would have gone into the skyscraper technique, silos for SEO, how backlinks from profile pages (and other pages with no backlinks of their own) are not great while pages that have their own backlinks are good.

Lots of people around here are confused about what makes a great backlink.

Lots of people around here think that, if you install Yoast's plugin and get the green marks, you've done your SEO.

Lots of people come here to ask questions about the TOS of facebook or amazon.com or some other such entity.

how do you choose a vendor?
how do you come up with content? How often should you come up with new content?
    how to use guest posting?
    is seo dead?
    is direct marketing dead?
    is facebook marketing dead?
    is copywriting dead?

All the dead this and dead that make me think that
someone's got nothing to say but feels they must say something
    or
someone's clueless about marketing. If this is the case, a primer on marketing... more like short description and links to good articles (books, videos) on specific topics... Or existing posts that can be sorted this way?

How to get more youtube views?
How to monetize a website? Yes, it comes up often enough in some form or another.

    How do you choose keywords?
How do you check what your competitors are doing to rank?

Lots of people are confused about the nofollow tag...
Lots of people are confused about bookmarking...

Just look through questions and answers.

        Yup, I did.

The one one optimizing for RankBrain is long on words, short on how.

Read some of the advice people give on your forum on optimization, you might change your mind about what's needed in terms of optimization content.

Top Tips when dong email marketing, same: long on words, short on how.

The section on gathering their email addresses goes on for over 300 words. The first 180 or so, they seem to be there because the writer got paid by the word.

Most know they should get the email addresses. They know about putting up a form/ pop-up or not, to collect. They don't know how to entice enough of them. Or how to get more to open the emails, how to get more to click on an a link.

A long time ago, I was trying to get a job and could not. My brother thought he'd help. He bought the Sunday paper and circled a bunch of openings for jobs that paid over $100k a year. None of them had anything to do with what I'd studied, with what I knew, and they were all over the place. He acted (and, it turned out, thought) I did not know where they advertised job openings. A few other things that were equally brilliant.

Your articles are doing something like that.

Notice, I did not say there's wrong content, just not matching what your thread starters and many of those who add their posts there seem to need / want. (Except for the one on keyword density... The whole keyword density part of the article should not exist on account that it's inaccurate, seeing that you can rank for keywords with density of 0%).

The keyword density / LSI article would have been more useful if it had specifics...

You want to rank for best home loans?

Have Best Home Loans as the title, FHA mortgages in h2, loans for first-time home buyers in h2, current interest rates in h3... Also, don't forget to use a few phrases like: 30-year amortization, ARM's, fixed-rate conventional loans in the body of your article, home loans for military veterans.

Clearly you are not happy with the content and that's okay mate.

Content is not being paid and is open to people that we invite to write for us that are qualified to write because they work in each industry.

I understand you think they are shallow... you don't like them... they don't have enough content... etc

          But it's a start.

Learn has been launched for 3 weeks and I'm proud of the content.

After reading this thread I had to visit the "Learn" page. I already read the transcript of the Ahref podcast, but at the bottom of the page, I found this interesting article: How to Bring Online and Offline Marketing Together.

It's something I've been thinking about for a while.

    Did I learn anything? Yep!

As with the rest of this forum, you have to seek out the good bits.

If the forum were a dam on a river - When Allen sold it, it was shaky at best. Then some people came along and kicked it full of holes. Now Gabriel has the unenviable task of shoring it up.

You gotta give him props for trying to engage and not just giving us lip service.

Also, I'll try to keep the sarcasm to a minimum.
