Giveaways / Freebies: what are yours?

We all use giveaways and freebies for building our list in email marketing

Today's it seems the uptrend is videos, with the 6 video formula, etc

Even if the vast majority still prefer ebooks

OR a mix of them, with also audio

Someone like me provide ebooks and sequence of training via mail,which assure more in my opinion that the lead will open the next emails, not flying away after downloading report

Nowadays also surveys and calculations (as example calories for Weight loss niche) are increasing their popularity.

    I used to be a big fan of ebooks (and IMO, a 5-6 page PDF is NOT a book, electronic or otherwise).

    Nowadays, I prefer shorter, easier to digest, downloadable premiums. The venerable Special Report (often mislabeled as an ebook), checklists, content upgrades, and so on.

    The common factors are that they are both tightly targeted and meant to deliver a quick win. Deliver that quick win with your premium, and it helps build trust for the next step in the funnel.

    For me it's still ebooks, checklists, cheat sheets, etc (mostly pdf files of some sort)

    For awhile now I like to do email courses along with a e-book/video.

    I like having a Course because it qualifies the Lead better knowing they are signing up for a 10 day Follow Up series with autoresponder.

    I like online guides because honestly who wants to download anything these days.

    I do eBooks.

    The one I just finished that's not ready to promote yet is 82 pages. So, yes, as John said; not a 3-5 page report, but, a book.

    I really like to over deliver on value. I like to really teach something so that they get something out of it.

    It has my name on it, so it needs to be great.

    Honestly i just use a free ebook. I have so much content to offer in the my email newsletter and on other pages in my site that i will overwhelm my readers with good info day-after-day like clockwork.

    So 1 good free ebook to give them basics, and then i work them daily with my email newsletter content.
