new ways to earn income online

Hi All,

I missed affiliate marketing boat since it is a lot more difficult these days due to too much competition. Amazon FBA is missed as it is too late now due to too many people bringing stuff from AliBaba and reselling it.

I am fairly technical and can find my around google. A year back I did not know anything about word "affiliate" but quickly was able to generate a niche website and get Couple of hundred per month after 6 months. But it did not seem as good return as I expected since there is lot of competition and even more people starting new.

What are new ways to earn money online which are still in early stages or bit difficult?

What do you mean exactly by "missing affiliate boat"? People are killing in affiliate marketing. Only thing is that now everyone knows about it and tries to do something.

Nominally there are lot of competition than before, but if you know what you're doing and actually put time into it, you'll see that there's plenty of space to start making $10k/month within year or two.

Amazon is pretty much the same story thou I never tried it. If you know how to provide a value and know your audience then you will make it.

The only difference I would say is that you need to work more than before.

Ex. when youtube enabled links in comments, plenty of guys made easily 1000's a day just by spamming "click here".

Today you have to make a plan and execute it for some time to get results.

But as I said... you can make plenty of cash in this business still

EDIT: Even if I knew something that would make me 1000's daily with little work to do... I wouldn't say that to you or to anyone... I would milk it until it finishes.

Competition isn't always a bad thing.

Narrow your niche, get more specific about the people you want to sell to.

I think the best example I've ever heard was from Eben Pagan; don't sell a 'weight loss' product instead sell a 'weight loss for a wedding' product.

I'm doing awesome with that myself.

Also, there is tons of money to be made with cryptocurrency in general.

A lot of people don't know that there are dozens of new cryptocurrency being traded. It's not just Bitcoin anymore.

There's a pretty high learning curve but it's well worth the time to learn how blockchains work and how to invest in crypto.

In one year I made a little more than $3000 from SteemIt, and I only wrote around 20 blog posts. I didn't even put much effort into it. Basically, it's something I did when I had a spare hour here and there. There are people who post every day and they are making six figures from it.

Two people I know of that are totally crushing it with SteemIt are Jeff Berwick and Jerry Banfield.

I hear a lot of people talking about how SteemIt can't work because of blah blah blah...

Well, those people should get their facts straight, because investing in Steem is not just about blogging.

If the growth of Steem continues the way it's going, it will be just as big as Bitcoin in a few years.

Another myth is that people think it's a difficult process to turn crypto into fiat money (physical money that you can spend such as USD, BPS, EURO, etc), and that's completely false. It's not difficult at all.

You can learn everything you need to know about crypto on YouTube. There are literally tens of thousands of great videos that will teach you.

Anybody ignoring crypto or writing it off as a "fad" is missing out BIG TIME!

With this kind of thinking you'll be sitting on the sidelines forever and never end up doing anything.

ANY business you start comes with risk.

If you are afraid to fail you will never get anywhere in life.

Every successful millionaire or billionaire alive failed ten times as much as they succeeded.

You can bounce back from failure infinitely, but you only need to succeed ONCE to hit the jackpot.

However, if you aren't willing to put yourself out there, you will never know if you could have succeeded.

These days, according to my experience, short reports are in business. There are lots of credible platforms that allow you to sell short reports. And, it is immensely easy to create a short report. All you need is to find out what your targeted customers need the most.

Besides, create a super-targeted niche website. It will be easy to rank better in Google, and you can start earning quite quickly too - perhaps within 1-2 weeks, if you are in a good niche.

I consistently check different niches in order to find out which work the best and sell short reports often. In addition, in super-targeted small niches, there is almost no competition. It is rather easy to build list too (I'm not a fan of list building).

Though, I have a team, but if you need an idea, 5-6 successful niche websites, with 5-6 professional articles, and a $5 short report can help you earn $3K rather comfortably.

Apart from this, for promoting report, you can use Pinterest. The best thing about Pinterest is it gives you 'viral' effect, which is quite easy to acquire. Once you have attention-grabbing image on Pinterest, it can help you receive thousands of targeted clients. It is easy, and I have done that multiple times. Just change the wordings, but keep the message same, and you can create thousands of images to get traffic - consistently.

If you missed the affiliate marketing boat, it's because you chose not to get on it - many, many marketers are making a great living from this business modal.

Once again, you missed out because you believe the myth that it's too late to carve out your own space and make a profit. People are still doing it everyday.

In my opinion, "new ways to earn money" will not help you. Proven, time-tested money making methods are a much better choice for someone that is paying homage to myths and chasing the latest somehow magical solution.

There once was a man who wanted easy money, and thought the best way to get it was through the lottery.

Every day, he prayed that he would win the lottery.

Day after day, year after year, he prayed to win the lottery, but still remained broke.

Finally, the man reached his breaking point.

"Lord, for years I've been faithfully praying to you to win the lottery, yet here I am, broke and broken. How did I offend thee so much that you would deny me my only request?"

As he turned to go to bed, he heard a thunderous voice from the heavens.

"Man, you gotta work with me here. Get thee hence and buy a me-damn ticket!"

You "missed the boat" because you are too lazy to buy a ticket and get on the boat.

  • There are many competitors for affiliate marketing have to thing out of box to stand top in the market.
Create a website and drive traffic and place google ads ( Google Adsense) this method gives some fixed income every month.

For nearly 17 years I have been promoting PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers.

The main reason I promote them is that there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc.

The bulk of the offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

Bottom line: it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

Online lead generation is never going away because so many businesses rely heavily on buying leads in order to generate sales...buying leads is the lifeblood of their business.

    Something to think about.

IMO you haven't missed the boat. Affiliate marketing is still as profitable as ever, things are different than years ago but it's alaays changing.

    Same thing with Amazon.

Stop trying to come up with reasons not to do something and just jump in and start doing it.

Affiliate Marketing is alive and well. There are many new and intermediate marketers out there but most of them are in the same boat as you...stuck in inertia.

All the stuff you are claiming that you missed out on are still there for the taking.

The affiliate marketing pie is a big pie and has more than enough for any soul willing to put in the work.

Don't place limits on your self. If you get out there and do what you need to do, you can achieve success.

It won't be easy but you can do it.

  • If you will look at every business platform now, competition is everywhere. This is a given, inevitable factor but, this does not mean that you cannot make a decent income out of it. There are ways to overcome competition and it does not have to be something that you need to do to compete with other "big fishes" out there. You just need to find your own niche- a niche that has a good number of market but with less competition. If you already have an existing niche to begin with, I suggest you look at your content- make improvements there. A good, high-content website always attract the right visitors. Also, competition will help you find better ways to promote your website and affiliate business. You can go to your competitor's website and see how they create and promote their own products. From there, you can get a lot of information on how you can do the same thing, or even do better than them.

To say you are too late when a market is actively growing make no sense. Amazon sales are increasing all the time so how can it be too late to sell on the Amazon marketplace?

The reason a lot of people sell on FBA is because a lot of people buy on Amazon. It is extremely obvious IMO.

Affiliate marketing is evergreen. Your perception that you have somehow 'missed the boat' is not the case at all.

Do not be scared of competition, there is PLENTY of room at the top.

You know, the world is full of people that make non-excuses like, "If it was that good everyone would be doing it" and "there's too many people doing that now".

It's all things they tell themselves so they do exactly nothing. Paralysis by mistaken analysis.

Honestly if youre having difficulties making money with affiliate marketing then I believe you are doing it completely the wrong way cause people are killing it with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is one the best way to make money online even if for complete newbies cause the product has been created for you already. All you have to do is drive good traffic to your landing page then redirect them to the offer that way you have them on your list where you can build relationship and trust with your subscribers and promote to various offers to them.

    Hope that helps
