Go find quality articles and have them rewritten.

You can always have them written from scratch, but you never know what you are going to get.

So if you base it off existing quality articles, you will likely get something decent from the start.

You don't have to knock off a single article. You can find a couple/several and restructure into a single article using the best parts of each and then have rewritten.

This reminds me that at this point in time. Nothing is ever original, it's always going to be a rehash of something or a few. Recycle, rehash, restructure, rework.

    It's fine.

Practice as much as you can. Within a few weeks, you will be able to transcend expectations.

You don't have to buy books. There are lots of online resources that can teach about how to write professionally and in an attention-grabbing way.

Furthermore, it's better to follow popular blogs in your niche. This will help you in perceiving the writing-style of the author. You'll learn why people follow them and how they design their content to attract customers.

Depends on your reason for creating the site. Maybe you don't need articles.

Many successful websites get by with videos, graphics, user-generated content, listings, reviews, whatever...

IMO you have two options. Either work on your English and practice writing articles or save up and buy articles.

    Hi,
Before you can write an article, let me ask you do you have a niche? Secondly, does your article solve a problem that you have enough knowledge behind to help the person reading it, no matter the language? Once you have the answer to those questions then the answer to your own question will become clear. Buying ebooks before you know if you have anything of value to offer the reader is putting the cart before the horse. So in short, you can write an article in any language as long as you have a solution to a problem, then the language doesn't matter. Just market to that audience in that respective language. Speak to the reader in your own language, this may even be more cost-effective when paying for overseas traffic. Speak simply to your audience the way that you would want to be spoken to without the hype and pedestal. Be direct and straightforward, and the response may surprise you. Hope this helps!

Why not write in your native language and target people using that language?

No matter where you are or what language is spoken, people are people and have the same basic desires and needs.

I also use poor English, but I'm looking for a problem, I record everything, use the information that I see the reader need it and put together a new article. Writing news job requires you to be knowledgeable about that field and will take a lot of time. I usually use the google translate tool .

The Google translate tool isn't to be relied on, in my experience, to come anywhere close to providing something people want to read. This is especially true for news or longer articles.

Consider writing your Articles ... (So that the message/lesson and most important content/ideas are there) ... Then consider hiring someone on one of the FreeLance Websites to convert it into "English" ― while keeping the content.

    [Edit ...]

If you're not all that good writing Articles in terms of "creation" then definitely invest in some eBooks/guides. (I don't know if there is one however I have found "The Dummies" books really helpful.)

Search Amazon.com to see if they have published one for that

So - knock off several articles instead? Use only the BEST parts of the work you steal from others? And that's acceptable? It's not true that it's a 'rewrite' or that nothing is new or that 'everyone does it'. It's not someone else's problem if you choose to work in a language you aren't fluent in. Those are excuses to justify using other people's work product and calling it your own.

A few years ago most members here would be outraged at the idea of "copying" or "rewriting" someone else's articles to put on your own site. Seems it has become and acceptable practice for some. That's sad.

One of my university professors used to say a couple of things that have stayed with me over the years.

      > Steal from one source and it's plagiarism; steal from fifty and it's research.

But he always, always, always followed that with

      > Steal the words and it's theft; steal the ideas and it's research.

"Swiping" things like article structure, information sources (think footnotes or endnotes), even modeling headlines, is far different from downloading a handful of articles and simply copying "one from column A and two from column B" to create an unauthorized mashup.

Just because something passes Copyscape (or whatever the flavor of the month is) does not mean you aren't stealing.

What do you want readers to experience when they reach your website?

Dry information that they can find anywhere? If so, then article directories are a good option.

Do you want your website to have a variety of viewpoints? Then find guest bloggers and contributors. Or interview experts in the field.

Frank listed some good ideas other than articles.

If you want something unique and in your own voice then improve your writing or write in your native language. It's true there's nothing new under the sun. But how you present the information is what can brand you as someone who offers value and personality.

You can hire a ghostwriter but it will cost you some money to find a good one. A few great articles are better than a ton of garbage.

Another option is to transcribe your thoughts and then hire an editor to clean up the article.

Rewriting an article is called a derivative work and no matter what anyone tells you -- it's not okay. As Kay already said.

You can use curated content but do your research and find out what that actually means. It doesn't mean simply cutting and pasting other people's work onto your website. You need to make some sort of commentary and add some value before linking to the original content.

When I used to research for freelance articles I would open 20 tabs and read every article I found on the topic - then I read the research on the topic - news and current event reports on the topic.

I took notes here and there but nothing was copied or paste....I closed all the tabs and then I wrote the articles based on what I had learned and the facts I had made notes of.

Leaving the ethics aside ... if someone not fluent in English rewrites articles from an English language site....the result is often not very readable.

I have a suggestion but some might feel it unethical.

You can copy content from expired websites. Can find the expired domains on expiredomains.net afterwards search for the archive data of that site for content.
But finding a website with content that fulfills your niche is hectic job and requires a lot of research.

I don't know your mother language; maybe Spanish, chains, Japanese or other. Language doesn't matter.
First, you have to gather knowledge about your subject. Try to understand and translate to your mother language. Then write a custom summery from every article what you understand. Then make a custom article on your mother language. Than Finally translate to English.
And you can also use any online grammar checker like Grammarly. You needn't learn the English language well (Google translate may help you much. But have to learn English grammar to set the correct position of the part of speech.

    Hi,

You can go the curation route, sure, but not a big fan of that.

You can work part time, in addition to your job, to make more money, to build a large budget. Or, work a full time job, to get a large budget.

You can spend the next 6 months of your life practicing your writing every day in a Word document, so that your English writing skills improve, as will your speaking.

I'd work on my writing skills. Develop a lasting skill that will help you serve people, and that will be the foundation for a sustainable business.

It's not just unethical, it's stealing. Just because the site is expired does not mean the copyright ceases to exist. Just like a book going out of print in not an open license to republish the book under your own name.

Ryan, simply writing in that Word document won't necessarily improve subpar writing skills. It will simply make him more efficient in writing subpar English.

Now if you couple that daily practice with feedback from someone who understands and empathizes with ESL writers, you really have something.

  • Content writing can really be a challenge for newbies. However, writing your own content is not impossible. Sure, it will take time and a lot of practice to write a good article but again, this is very doable. You can start by reading articles that are related to your niche. Then, you can also get a lot of writing tips from blog sites like CopyBlogger (and Affilorama Blog- we have a lot of writing/blogging tips that you can use for your website as well). Good luck!

Many marketing coaches advice you to follow your passion. "Learn and Master' as one of my affiliate accounts proudly proclaim. While any of the suggestions above might be useful to you, what's the point of doing something you don't like? That's why God created 9-5 jobs.

Despite reports to the contrary, the art of writing blog posts isn't on the decline, but you could certainly say that the art of creating videos is on the rise. Why not look into doing videos instead. They certainly have their advantages and, unless you have some very good SEO skills, they are more likely to get attention than most blog posts on subjects that get a lot of coverage.

I just saying that there's no need to go kicking and screaming into a one skill set, while there may be others that might be more to your liking. There are all sorts of inexpensive video courses, software and platforms out there that could help you along the way.

There are many good suggestions here. But you're more likely to fail if you have no interest in writing in the first place.
