I generate customers for my clients using Adwords so I'd say yes! My clients have real brick n' mortar type businesses though, they're not selling Clickbank products.

Are you using some kind of a capture page to put them on a list first or are you just using the affiliate link? What seems to work for me is making some kind of a capture page that leads to a ClickBank offer don't know why it works better but it just does hope this helps.

Paid traffic works when your traffic is targeted to the offer and the your conversions and product price are high enough to make more money than you spend on ads.

However this rarely works first time out of the box. Most ad campaigns need split testing and tweaking to make them profitable.

If you are sending traffic directly to an offer that will make it much harder to make a profit.

I sell Clickbank digital products using paid ads it is very profitable.
However I do not sell direct I offer free videos first, in exchange for an email address. Then I follow up with additional free offers and paid offers.

I currently make over $850 for each $50 ad spend (YouTube ads).

If you have made no sales after 2,100 clicks then you have something fundamentally wrong somewhere.

    Maybe:

    Traffic not targeted enough
    Bot traffic
    Paid to click traffic
    Not tier one country traffic
    Poor sales page
    Wrong product
Unrealistic offer promise (sounds like a scam)
    Wrong price point
Technical issues with your affiliate link
    and possibly a few more.

No idea if that is a good or bad click-through rate for that advertiser network or how much you are paying for clicks but click-through is affected by:

Add text (promise and call to action) - split test needed to improve.

Some PPC platforms have something called landing page quality which affects your bid price. Often this is measured (mainly) by click-through rate so higher click-through cheaper bid price.

So you may get higher up the page for the same price which in turn improves your click-through.

Did you do any lead generation and opt-in email marketing? Also, your traffic source isn't the best. There are more variables in this campaigns that you aren't telling us about.

Try faceboook ads, it is simple and more effective. Start small then you scale up your ads.
