Monetize Classifieds ads site with third world country traffic

I'm starting a classified ads site in a third world country with 1.1 million internet users, however, it is a poor country with low conversion rates.

Do you guys have any thoughts or tips on starting up, marketing , getting traffic, revenue and monetizing ?

      gee whiz I know, but there are no classifieds sites in that specific country, it's a nice market size without the craigslists and backpages. Obviously like every country there are elites, mid-class and poor.

        No amount of "buts" will overcome a poor choice of audience and a poor choice of business models. You need to find an audience that is hungry for what you offer, and a topic where the discretionary money flows freely, i.e., where prospects can easily pull out their credit cards and buy from you without much "ado." Get this wrong and no amount of market size will matter in the least bit.

    Don't waste your time with poor revenue countries. Also, change your business model. No classified ad site.

    Partner with the big brands in your home country

    Most countries are poor due to monopolized local economies. Use this otherwise sad fact to your advantage. Local monopolies would love even more eyeballs since most of them are vertically integrated.

    Why can't you run mobile offers over the website? i bet even if a country is poor, people do use phones, so this will always be potential leads for you, don't focus on the economic status of the country! You can run something like APP-in, antivirus for mobile, games, and if you really have no results or very poor ones, then you could change your target simply!!
