How to earn on JVZoo

by Seema Inbox 22 replies
Hi,
When I sign up an affiliate to JVZoo, many of the offers prompts you to first buy their product then sell it to others.

Could someone clarify this. Should we buy the product before we promote it ?

I feel the logic of affiliate marketing is you don't need to buy the product or the service but you can promote it. You make money when your referrer purchases the product.

JVZoo is very popular, I'm sure I'm missing some thread here. could someone clarify this for me.

Thank you,

It's logical advice (to buy the product) for two reasons:

    1. more sales for JVZoo and seller

    more importantly:

    2. How do you sell a product you haven't seen or tried or read? How much easier is it to sell a product you fully understand and can explain?

You don't have to buy the products you promote but it could make a big difference in how many products you are able to sell. Affiliate marketing is a lot more than putting a link in front of someone.

Agreed, but the very concept of affiliate marketing is "Earn Commission for products by referring Customers(not leads). No inventory required.

You don't need to buy the product in order to promote it.

But you should know about your products, you should know what do you have

What problems can your products solve.

Then promote them and earn money. Drive massive targeted traffic into your offer

Optimize your system regularly...That's how you earn money with JVZoo

Definitely no requirement to buy any product unless you needs it. JVZoo normally sends TOP selling products or sellers to affiliates via email. You may study from there and get approval from sellers to offer their products to your list of subscribers. Look for those with recurring commission. Hope this helps!

Are you talking about products with resale rights? There are many of those on JVZ. If you buy the product you can also buy the right to sell it as your own. They usually come with sales pages.

I've never seen any other type of product or affiliate information that prompts you to first buy the product before promoting it.

    Thank you,
From my opinion, yes you SHOULD buy the product before you promote it.

Otherwise how do people know if you are telling them the truth or not.

I know there are some marketers who like to leverage on other marketers' reviews and copied them.

By saying how good that product is before recommending them through their affiliate links.

Or how bad that product is before recommending their own products as solutions.

    That is not my style.

To sweeten the offer, you may also want to offer bonuses which you can create by leveraging on PLR and modifying them into your own versions or simply create from scratch if you know a lot about that topic.

So that people who buy through your link can get those bonuses.

    Hi Seema,

Ultimately, for long term success, and even for your own personal dignity, its important that you try the products and provide an honest review.

At the end of the day - if you promote a poor product, because you haven't experimented with it, and the customer then purchases it off the back of your review and its terrible - you're gonna lose all credibility and the chances of that customer coming back to your website, recommending you etc is all but gone.

Sure you can sell products in the short run, but you will not be able to build a long term audience which has many benefits in itself such as re-targeting, buyers trust etc.

Additionally, a lot of vendors can offer you a " free trial" or sometimes even a free licence. Don't be afraid to contact the vendors and ask them if they offer this.

Hope this helps, Jeremy - Unrivaled Review.

When u buy the product that u want to promote, u would understand what the product does to help people fully. If u don't want to buy the product, maybe u could request a sample of the product from the seller to study it so that u would be able to promote it better to potential customers.

It's true you're not required to buy the product and you can promote it without buying it.

However, you cannot give an honest review of the product without using or reading the product. It's the only way you'll know for yourself that the product is good. It's also the best way to write an understandable and unique review. That's the best way to build your credibility and trust with your audience.

If you have a legitimate review site then you'll want to make the purchase. If you have a large list or popular blog then the seller may give you a free copy for review.

If you're just promoting without a review then I guess you don't have to make the purchase but I'm not sure who will buy.

You aren't required to buy a product in order to promote it. Instead, send a polite email requesting a review copy stating your intentions of promoting their product. That's what I've always done when promoting other peoples products.

    Hope this helps.

As a general rule it is best to buy a product first before promoting it to see if it
is crap or not.If you are satisfied with the product you can make a video or write a review and share your honest opinion about the product. This method usually bring about more sales as people will see that you actually bought the product and that should build up some sense of trust in buying the product too.

If you have no online presence - have never sold online - are new to selling affiliate products....most sellers are not going to send you a freebie. If you have a proven sales record as an affiliate, sellers are often happy to provide you with a copy.

Agreed, but the very concept of affiliate marketing is "Earn Commission for products by referring Customers(not leads). No inventory required.
Your question was 'how to earn'. Successful affiliates earn by knowing the products they are selling - being able to answer questions or provide case studies or offer related freebies to get the sale. Other products - AND other affiliates - are your competition.

You can do affiliate marketing or any other online method your own way - but if it doesn't work be prepared to do more to get sales.

If you are looking to promote a product via a product review then you need to buy it. Visitors to the page want to see exactly what they will get if they buy the product.

If you are promoting the product to an email list then a less detailed knowledge of the product would be required. However, you need to be sure that it is a quality product that will be of value to your list. Promoting a bad product is going to harm your relationship with your list.

I think you don't need to buy the product if you know it. The main reason they ask you to buy is whether to sell their product or get to know their product in detail so that you can do a better marketing. I am also a seller in jvzoo and i usually approve that affiliate who have higher sales or written a trustworthy description of what their expertise are. It helps if you write a short description a lot.

You do not have to buy the product for promoting the product!
In Jvzoo, it's pretty simple at first you just have to go to the affiliate dashboard and need to find a product that you are interested in!
After you have done it you have to ask the vendors if you can promote their product by just saying "Hey i would like to promote your product! hope you will reply me soon" or something similar to this and then most of the time you will be approved and then you can get the affiliate link and start promoting them! Hope this helped!

    I can clarify this.
Look, a have a blender in my house. I use it almost every day. An hour ago I drunk a strawberry smoothie. It was a well-bended smoothie. I believe, this experience gives me the right to participate in Amazon affiliate program and promote my blender on my blog.

I truly believe this is how affiliate marketing should work. You buy, you try. If you're 100% satisfied, you give it 5 stars and promote.

What happens in reality? In real life, we care about gravity, popularity, hot trends, but the quality is our number 9th priority.

  • JVZoo is a prevalent associate system among individuals in the MMO or "profit on the web" business. The vast majority of what's sold on there is information items like ebooks, video instructional exercises, programming, applications, modules, and things identified with email showcasing, list building, self-improvement, item advancement and the sky is the limit from there.

VZoo's products are digital downloads, and most of what I've dealt with personally is in the internet marketing industry.
    • If you purchased products then no problem. They are quite good about processing refunds, they pay on time. They’ve got a nice little site set up.
    • Or if you don't want to purchase products, then you can do it. Just promote the products first.

I signed up for JVZoo and had a difficult time getting any support. Takes them 3 days to answer a question, and then they don't even answer it, they just ask for more information, which takes another 3 days. Too frustrating and too hard to get anything done.
